I'm not good at talking about myself. Basically, I've been a fan of Pokemon since I saw the anime when I was 10 and then go into the games. I've outgrown the anime, but I do watch the old Kanto and Jhoto episodes sometimes for nostalgia. I still play the games, but I was really late about getting them: Misty getting taken off the show was hard to me to accept so I had given up on Pokemon for a while and by the time I got back into it, I had missed out on the Hoenn and Sinnoh games; and I was too broke to get them before the Unova games came out. So, now I'm playing the Unova games while trying to catch up on the older series(I have Emerald and LeafGreen on an emulator while I finally got a physical copy of Platinum last year).
I'm a casual player of the games and Pokemon is what seriously got me into gaming. I love how it has this innocence that still makes feel like I'm 10 when I'm playing and how it has so much freedom compared to other RPGs I've played so far. I know it's supposed to encourage friendships, but that didn't work out for me(I grew up in area where Pokemon was and still is "uncool" and "nerdy". Plus I was already a socially awkward outcast who tried to desperately fit in, making it worse). Ugh, I didn't plan on saying all that, but Pokemon has a special place in my heart.
I'm really hyped about the X and Y games so I decided to take a chance to see if I can be apart of the online community despite my weariness of internet communities in general(I've seen how hardcore and vicious they can get).
Now I'm off to go finish playing White 2.
