Well, as you can tell by me posting here, I am new to these forums.
I am a huge Pokemon fan, so in searching for name ideas for my Pokemon teams, I came across this site.
I must admit I borrowed a few name ideas, mostly the Japanese ones, as I had ran out of name ideas.
You all are very good at naming your Pokemon, by the way.
A little about me...
My name is Megan.
My nickname is Pwncess.
It's the name I've used for many different games for a while now. I'm quite attached to it.
I've been into Pokemon since...gosh, I don't even remember.
I just remember thinking the show was interesting, then getting pretty hooked on it.
Then my best friend got into it with me.
Her dad took us to see Pokemon 2000 where I got my first Pokemon card of the Ancient Mew.
(Or at least that's how my brain remembers things. This summer heat has really melted my memory.)
I started collecting what I thought were the cutest creatures ever.
I then got my first Gameboy (Color) for Christmas and my grandparents had bought me Pokemon Yellow version, having heard that that was the new "big thing kids were into these days" and thought I'd like it.
I was ecstatic. [:
Now I'm just a card collector/game player.
I've never played the Trading Card game, just enjoyed growing my collection.
I spent many days outside in the shade of my neighbors oak tree in their front lawn, playing Pokemon Sapphire.
That one was my favorite of them all (until the recent Heart Gold/Soul Silver was released. That's my new addiction.)
I spent hours working on that game, building my best team.
With my Sceptile, Altaria, Salamence, Swellow, Flygon and Wailord by my side, we were unstoppable.
I ended up trading them and all my other "best" Pokemon to my Leaf Green, which ended up getting stolen.
I was heartbroken.
I gave up Pokemon for a while.
Sad as it was, that was one of the hardest things to deal with. Having worked so hard on everything for it to just....be gone.
I just recently started playing again, because my husband said that there was a new game coming out and I should look into it.
I told him that I just didn't have the heart to start all over again after that.
"It just takes too much work and I'm afraid something will happen again after all I do."
So he made me a deal.
He'd help me cheat a little if it would get me to just have fun and enjoy playing again.
So yeah, I took him up on it.
What better way to avoid frustration and throwing my DS across the room if I miss another legendary than to just be able to have any Pokemon I want?
So I own all 493 + a few shiny's of my choice.
Yeah, I know I should play the real way and be fair, but I play to have fun and enjoy it.
It's not like I'm playing for competition.
Oh wow. I've written an essay.
Whoever reads this will probably go "Wow, new girl really can talk up a storm."
When it comes to something I really like, yes I can.
I don't care how old I get or what people think of me based on age and playing this game.
I love this game and all the little Pokemon, so I'm going to keep playing! [:
I'd just like to say, I do like this site very much and I'm glad to be a member.
