HGSS trade to DPPt

Hi, this is my first thread. I was just wondering about the ability to be able to trade from HGSS to Platinum and the other two sinnoh games. Does it work like it does when trading from Platinum to Pearl/Diamond or is there something different that must be done to trade from HGGSS to DPPt?

For instance you can start trading in DPPt once you have a pokedex and two Pokemon does it work that way with HGSS to DPPt or do you have to complete the national dex and league first? If this question has already been asked and answered then please forgive me. Thanks.

Hi, I'm sure you can trade once you recieve a pokedex, not sure though.

For this kind of questions you should actually use the Simple Questions Thread. But I believe you can trade them from the start.

Any Pokemon is fine. You can go through the game with a Dialga if you want
