I'm a Pokemon fan of at least ten years. I have played since the first generation(r/b/y). My question is, i currently have a helix fossil in diamond, how can i revive it? is there a location where i can revive it in diamond? do i have to trade it to fr/lg?

Yes, go to Oreburgh City. There is a lab near the Pokemon Center. Go inside and speak to a gent in there, and he'll begin to revive it. Step outside and come back in, and it'll be ready.
