Hi Im new to this forum seeking to evolve my Pokemon Black, Im trying to gather all the Dream World pokemons, and trying to get all the ghost pokemons, Im thinking in buy pokemon platinum and pearl, and trying to get neighbors for entralink so I can upgrade my black city, any help would be apreciate any hints and tips, is true that I need all my pokemons female so I can make eggs with Ditto and there more suitable for trade like that? Thank you, greetings from Mexico.

I see that you have questions, let me see if I can answer them...

Ditto can breed with any gender, male or female. But it can't breed with another Ditto or any legendary Pokemon but Manaphy (For which you get a Phione with that).

But why I read many users prefer to capture female pokemons? something about breed the abilities I remember....

I think they are talking about breeding different Pokemon in the same egg group.

Let's see:

Let's say you breed a Male Haunter with a female Misdreavus. When they have an egg, it will always be a Misdreavus, though it could be either male or female. The baby Pokemon will Always be the same type of Pokemon as the female who bred it.

Abilities...if a Pokemon has two abilities, it will be a random choice between the two. It has nothing to deal with either parent.

For starters, welcome to Bulbagarden forums!

Also, I think it's because when you breed a female DW Pokémon, there is a 50% that the baby will have the DW ability as opposed to 0% for breeding a male with Ditto.
