Hi new member here with a story to tell

So I've been playing Pokemon since blue and red on OG Gameboy color, i'm 25 so thats a lot of pokemon over the years, i've only ever had 1 shiny other than gen 2's shiny Gyarados. So I'm wonder trading all my wife's gastlys and machops(she was iv breeding on my game so she could get the trade xp boost when she got her perfect IV pkmn) when a Japanese guy sends me and I'm being 100% truthful now, a shiny perfect IV all around metagross, 31 in everything, I checked with the man in kiloudde city, I EV trained its attack and hp to the max and put the remaining 4 points onto speed, I just had to make an account to share this, why would someone give me such a rare(wont be rare soon) shiny let alone with it having perfect IV's on wondertrade? let alone for a machop at level 1. i feel kinda bad, maybe he was grinding wonder trade for hours and wasnt paying attention, i almost traded my tyranitar at one point so i must happen to people. Anyway been a stalker here for years and thought this was a perfect time to introduce myself and join the smogon and bulbapedia communitys, i gotta go work very shortly but when i get back il update my profile here and add my friend code, could do with some more friends on the game for battling trading and friend safari, peace
 
Probably a stupid question but how do i change my avatar on here, the profile editor seems really convoluted compared to any other site of used before
 
I was wondertrading for the first time yesterday, at first i was like "maybe i'll get a rayquaza" but as the hours went on of emptying my boxes of hundreds of machops and gastlys and getting pidgeys and other weak pokemon in return i thought i better stop hoping for something good to avoid disappointment and just be happy that i could buy loads of pp ups and rare candys, That was until i got the metagross, literally cant believe my luck, most peoples shinys including my other shiny are just standard pokemon that barely look different, but to get a perfect IV shiny metagross is just ridiculous luck/bad luck for the Japanese guy who blatantly accidentally gave it me, some quick maths reveals that being as metagross is genderless,has perfect IV's and is shiny I am very very lucky, figured out the avatar and profile stuff now too, glad to be a part of the pokemon community :)
 
Welcome! That is incredible luck! The best thing I've gotten off of Wondertrade was an HA Eevee that I used for breeding my Espeon.

I kind of love wonder trading xD I did a wonderlocke on my...third time playing through X and it was a good time xD
