Hi, new member here. I've been cruising Bulbapedia for a long time and saw the Christmas contest, which I probably won't be entering now since I'd have to make a lot of posts, but I thought I'd hang around anyhow. I just got back into Pokemon with the release of Diamond/Pearl, I hadn't played since I lost my copy of Pokemon Gold. I'm really excited about the G/S remakes, and wish I weren't a broke college student so I could get my Cheeto-stained hands on a copy when it comes out. I've always been obsessed with events, but lived so far away from a major city so the Pokemon League was never around. I got my first event Pokemon when Arceus came to Toys R Us, and was never more excited about anything in my life.

I hope to make some friends here, trade a few pokemon and get into a few battles. Lately I've been working on filling out my Pokedex, so I haven't had time to build a solid tournament team (my favorites are all too highly-leveled). Anyhow, I'm glad to be here. See you all around :)

D/P are what got me back into pokemon too. Which one did you buy?

As for the hands, that's what latex gloves are for! ;)
 
I bought Diamond, it was all the store had in (though I did rather want Platinum. Oh well, Diamond is fun).
