I just (finally) finished the ruins of alph sidequest last night and in the research centre there was a notice saying it was set up by Proffesor silktree. could this be the genV professor? (it does fit the tree names after all)
Also do we know what the statues of ancient pokemon in the ruins are? they look like rhydon, but could they be a new ancient legendary?

1. Good spot. I didn't notice that first hint
2. They are Rhydon. Sorry to disappoint.

I also noticed:

1. Eisune says something about Ho-Oh and Lugia having been made by an ancient body. I really hope they don't make another god...

I doubt it. Arceus only made Dialga, Palkia, (Possibly) Giratina, Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf. They in turn created other things. It couldn't be mew, thats a Gen I Pokémon.

I agree with Transfite, why would a researcher hand you start Pokemon!?
and Arceus is the creator of all pokemon, so I suppose this includes Ho-Oh and Lugia too.

All of the professors do research which is why they're professors not trainers/collectors.

Why would the founder of an Unown research center give out starter Pokemon? :|a

Because Unown Lord's wet dream has come true and not only will the regional professor be obsessed with Unown, but everyone in the game will be as well.

All of the professors are researchers. Rowan was researching evolution, and in HGSS elm was researching the effect that walking with pokemon has.

I have hunted my way through Johto and Kanto in HGSS and as of now I see no possible reference to Black and White except maybe the Sinjoh Ruins. MAYBE, the region in which Black and White are set was where the cultures of Sinnoh and Johto met.

Of course, as of now there is no evidence to back this up(or, TBH, to back up anything else other than the fact they are being made).

After defeating the team rocket that stole powerplant part he says (Something along the lines of) he will return to his own country and rebuild team rcoket.

Oh God no.
Team Rocket's been used to death having now shown up in EVERY Generation of games to date. I think they deserve a break.

I can see these thing's refrencing other regions and an other researcher but I don't see why they have to be in the next Gen. There will be more generations after this one (for a long time hopefully) and I can see them just as easily having a conection to any generation.

IMO Arceus is not a god. It ruins all possible sequels so I've come up with another reason for Arceus: He's the protector of the Earth. This also downgrades Dialga, Palkia and Giratina to protectors of Earth too as well as the Lake Trio. It makes more sense in a moneymaking way and, based on evidence, one can assume it to be true. But don't mind my opinion. Go on with your discussion.

But didn't that grunt show up in GS? I mean, IF that rocket grunt is from the upcoming region, then Game Freak had planned these two games for a very long time, right?

Did you watch movie 12? Or see the sinjoh ruins? He's definitely god.

No he is just the creator of the creatures in this series, but by no means god. Its a silly fan mistake that's taken to proportions of ridiculous size. Anyway Silktree is the damn Unown research founder. The only hint HGSS has is the fact that they actually featured an area in a region that doesn't exist. YET.

There are no hints in HG/SS. There weren't any in Emerald, so why would there be in HG/SS? If anything, go look for gen V hints in Ranger Tracks of light, you'll have way more chance.

I was gonna mention Unown Lord too when I read that, but you beat me to it. He thinks that Sinjoh is a hint to what the Gen V main region will be.

He made the freakin universe. how is that not god?
