His Dark Materials

What's your opinion of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy?

I like it, but I haven't read it in a while. Last time I did was when there was controversy about it from certain religious groups because of the movie.

Mmm, I loved the books, the movie was alright... my church was having a fit about the books, half the reason I read them XD. They were excellent, and people need to chill out more =P
