I'm trying to build a solid Generation 2 team that I can clear the rest of Crystal with and start using for head-to-head, and I'm looking to add a fighting type. Question is, Machoke or Hitmonlee?
I'm currently at the Elite Four, grinding up levels. My pre-substitution team is as such:
Piloswine (Nevermeltice)
Tackle
Powder Snow
Fury Swipes
Take Down
Gyarados (Dragon Fang)
Bite
Twister
Surf
Waterfall
Graveler (Amulet Coin)
Defense Curl
Rock Throw
Magnitude
Rollout
Pidgeot (Pink Bow)
Wing Attack
Quick Attack
Tackle
Fly
Meganium (Miracle Seed)
Razor Leaf
Tackle
Body Slam
Synthesis
Chinchou (Quick Claw)
Thunder Wave
Surf
Waterfall
Water Gun
The Chinchou is a very recent acquisition, and is only lvl 21 (the rest are currently 38), and there's no trade available, so Graveler and the possible Machoke can't evolve further. With two Water types (and the general weakness of Grass), the Meganium is the most likely one to be replaced.
Anyways, I'd like some opinions on which Fighting-type to bring in, or if there's another pokemon available to me currently that would be even better, or even a must-have one I can't get till later.
