imagine hitting a pokemon? would it be legal? would the pokemon break?would...would...discuss.....

Ash hit Pikachu in an episode where Bill appeared. Apparently all Pikachu had to say about it was "Pikachu!" o_o;;
*cough*

'course it would be illegal, it's like hitting a cat, you can't do that! >_<

Agreed!
pikachu shoul'dve electrocuted ash!
also if someone hit a steelix it wouldnt hurt it!

Steelix has like, the highest defence of all the pokemon in existence x_x... Hitting a Steelix would be like...

Roze: *Hits Steelix*
*Loud 'GONG' sound*
Steelix: *looks curiously at Roze*
Roze: X_X;...

lol Yeah. steelix would be like "wut teh fuck".
anywways....imagine hitting a snorlax in the stumach and someone got their hand stuck in snorlaxs stumach lol....

I'd rather use him as a trampoline xD But hitting him... It wouldn't be affective unless you had a Hitmonchan use Focus punch >_<

I don't see why it would have to be illegal, since just about any pokemon would totally let you have it.

I'm reminded of boys in my first grade class who stomped on a mockingbird's eggs. They got in trouble by the teachers, but not after being divebombed and pecked by a ticked off mother bird.

That is so true. So in other words, tick off a Groudon and you'll get into a lot of toruble... Literally. XD

imagine stomping on a manaphy egg..
or feeding a jirachi egg to abunch of honchkrows.
or sexually abusing a pokemon...

I think it would be allowed because most people would have enough common sense not to pimp-slap a Bidoof.

Why not? It's barely any different from hitting it with a Pokemon. The only difference is fiction has powered up Pokemon to expotential levels far above humans, so you may want to aim for the "weak point", if you catch my drift.

Also,

or sexually abusing a pokemon...

Well, some people do have weird tastes. Some (furries) which are weirder than others (Gardevoir). But as long as nobody dies from having a Rapidash screw them, I think this is and will remain legal.

Bonus points if you get the reference

I'd rather not know about horse. I do recall someone I know did something to a gota, but he was drunk and ended up in hospital with an infection. I did not have antything to do with that guy again ever.

Basically I think the legal ramifications of screwing pokemon would be same doing an animal, although, you'd have more risks of death when doing a pokemon.

Some pokemon if you hit them probably would break you. If you tried hitting a snorlax, it would either not budge or flatten you.

So um yeah, the topic is about hitting them, not screwing them. We have a topic in the shipping section for discussion about that, and even then I don't think you can go into detail.

Hitting a Pokémon? Yeah, I wouldn't try it. Imagine trying to slap a Vulpix only to have it whip around and Flamethrower you. Or smacking an Espeon only to have to use Psychic.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'd prefer to live in peace with my Pokémon, not get torn to pieces by them.

Have you ever heard of the expression, "I'd hit it?" I think not!

<_<

Well, anyway, I was more or less joking when I brought that point up. >_> If I expressed my actual views on shipping, I'd probably get so many trolling violations it wouldn't be funny. Regardless of how true the points I would bring up are.

But getting back on topic, a human could probably take a weaker Pokemon. Maybe even a stronger one. Of course, it's all a matter of what you're fighting, what you're armed with, and the technique you use. Screwing with something with psychic/voodoo powers or projectiles is a bad idea most of the time. Either way, it's not illegal, but it probably isn't a good idea either, unless, as mentioned, you could totally dominate it (or if it won't mind much for whatever reason).

If it's life-or-death, you'll want to make sure it dies as quickly as possible, so breaking its neck could work, or possibly stabbing/shooting it in the brain. You could also use specific ones, such as crushing smaller ones and breaking bones, or putting out a Charmander's tail. If you have access to the necessary technology, trapping it in a cage where it can't use attacks because of some special material or whatever and shooting the Pokemon full of lead could work, if you're seriously hell-bent on killing it. Killing is a much different story from just hitting, but hey.

Hm. This is getting to be quite a macabre topic.

On the case of hitting Pokemon, like someone said earlier, it would be pretty akin to animal cruelty in our own society. Perhaps there's a protection service or an RSPCA-like organisation in the Pokemon world. I know there is a shelter for Pokemon, in Lavender Town.

And in said town, was where the Cubone's mother was killed. It wasn't told how she was killed for obvious reasons. But if you look at a Marowak's 'skull', it has pretty much fused onto their head after evolving. So what if someone smashed it? As for the mother, I still think Team Rocket accidently killed it, they don't seem that ruthless. But prove me otherwise :)

Like System Error said about Charmander's tail, there has to be certain weak points about Pokemon. I'm not sure about the anime or manga, but has a Staryu/Starmie's ruby ever been broken? That always seemed like something which would kill them to me.

That depends entirely on the member. And since the agents in the games don't get much personality, it's anyone's guess as to who or why.

Someone like Domino would probably do it, while someone like, say, Butch would probably be hard-pressed to. And someone like Jesse could only manage it through sheer stupidity (say, I donno, she leans against a boulder, it falls down a cliff and flattens Marowak or something).
