It seems more..I dunno...It seems...Diffrent.

When it was with Misty it was rebelous, then became..Nicer and friendlier..
Then with May [and Max]it was very friendly...
Now it's...Different....It's still nice but....

Why does it pose sometimes...You know, when it has that frown-like face...-The serious face-...Then it either goes on it's 4 legs or on it's 2 legs...[Hm,this is the first time in a while I've seen it on 4 legs]....It started doing that when they fought in that contest,in Lucario and the mystery of Mew
...*sigh*This is difficult to explain in typed up form,but....Is it me,or has it changed?

What? I haven't watched recently but Pikachu's always posed and he's been nice almost the entire series.

Okay,Pikachu has changed in personality,eh?It used to be all....Meh...Then it got all uber nice and now it's...I dunno, alittle boyisher now?

Early in the series Pikachu had a mean side. That was when he would shock Ash for the hell of it or to punish him. Then there was Pokemon Shipwreck when he shocked Meowth when they were supposed to shake hands..er...paws and did the "dammit" snap when TR regained consciousness. And then there was the Nidoran episode and that face.

By the start of Johto however that meanness was abandoned.

..........

pika has changed from a main charector to a well just there because it wuld be wrong if he wasnt there lol i miss the old pikachu (sniff)

Pikachu's personality has changed. It seems more "indifferent" now, if that means anything. It's like an observer, too - not much interaction, I think. I may not be describing this right, but I do definitely believe it has changed a little.

Now reply and say "Whaaaaa?" Don't ask me for an explanation, because I am having difficulty describing what I mean. :p

I think you said what you meant, and it made sense to me. Pikachu's kinda just a mascot now.

He seems a little more cuddly now than he was in the beginning of the show if you hadn't noticed. Like his arms are more puffy and ears are a little more slender. But that's just the artists improving over time, everyone goes through it, look at a character you used to draw a few months ago- a year ago and see how you draw them now, if you draw them often, their features would have slightly modify over time.

Pikachu has got too nice and cuddly. Back in the old days, it would happily shock Ash.

But now it's so nice, that even when Ash gets possessed by evil kings (to be specific, first Brandon episode) it needs to be ASKED to shock him... -_- It really is too nice now.

I have to admit, I prefer the "aw dammnit, Meowth's not really dead" Pikachu from the SS Anne episodes and when he used to just do random crap in the background of episodes, like its infatuation with the ketchup bottle early on (and mourning said bottle's untimely demise; best moment in the show, imo, outside of Meowth trying to get it on with James).

BUT.

I don't sit around and mope about it.

Really, it makes a lot more sense for Pikachu to have gone from wishing for the deaths of others, being random, and falling in love with inanimate (and tasty) things, to being mature and all. Like it just mellowed out and got used to everything. "Oh, so human life is ALWAYS this messed up, okay." Really, Pikachu didn't seem to be the type prepared for being dragged along with a ten-year-old, obnoxious, dimwitted asshat like Ash used to be.

I just look back on those memories fondly. Vindictive Pikachu was great, like electrocuting the crap out of Meowth during the 'Bound for Trouble' episode for no reason, outside of being able to make Meowth its bitch, since honestly, Meowth couldn't do anything to Pikachu outside of turning its face into confetti, and after one blast Meowth wouldn't dare try that. It was around that time that Meowth had lost his balls to Fury Swipe anyone anyway (curse you Jessie, you lovable, scary nutcracker).

So yeah. What happened to him? In the sense of the show, Pikachu grew more mature. In reality? Writers wanted/needed to focus on other things once the show got kicked up.
