...I can imagine when he ends his pokemon journey he will end up working at McDonalds. Discuss?

I feel like school is optional in the Pokemon world, if you want further education you can pursue it. If you do have to attend I feel like it would be a lot easier than ours with more options as well.

I don't know I don't think he's one for quitting pokmeon exactly maybe his future is a teacher, traveling lecturer, frontier brain, or something else related to pokemon.

Well according to the novelizations, the age of 10 is like turning 18. You are an adult basically. You can go on a journey or continue schooling. Ash probably went to school for the basics. Reading, math etc.

I'd say a Frontier Brain is his future. Although it'd be funny if he worked at Kanto Fried Combusken.

why go to school when you can catch train and battle monsters that you keep in balls that have epic powers!:lol:

Even if he did, wouldn't that make him just like Genki from Monster Rancher? Sleeping all day in class dreaming about Monsters?

Maybe in the Pokémon world, people inherit knowledge from their parents. XD

Not really.

Well if what we know is fact (as in applies to everyone) then yes children most likely go to school at a very young age to learn about the basics about Pokemon. I mean Dawn definitely went to school, there were flashbacks to this. Did Ash? It seems likely I don't think he did squat until he turned 10, he likely went to school to learn the basics of being a Pokemon trainer.

It's probably already bad enough that they leave when they are ten but to say "Here's your Pokemon, your Poke balls, your Pokedex, good luck, and maybe you'll learn about the world before it swallows you whole."

Not to mention ten year old humans do need a trainer license, I remember Ash saying he got his license making him a qualified trainer as in getting a Pokemon from the professor, etc, etc, etc. And to get one, Ash probably had to take a test to get this license too.

If not school, they are more than likely home schooled at least.

Sorry Miss "My Avatars a pokemon that dosen't exist yet" :banghead:

Nice way to get on the good side of the boss's fiance. :)

Anyways, if you go by EToP, then Ash has a leave from school, but I think he's been gone too long for that to work in the anime. Going by flashbacks we've seen, I'm of the opinion that education in Pokemon is far better than anything we have. How else do you get five year olds coming up with the nickname, "Diamond Dandruff,"?

I think that Ash went to school at some point prior to his journey when he was younger (he may have possibly gotten an excuse to not attend the next grade).

how they buy stuff i mean they dont work but yeah ash will probably live with his mom and work with professer oak and its funny 10 year olds can drive look at gary lol

Maybe he did go to school previously, before he was ten, to study subjects necessary for him to function out there.

If he did go he went to a pokemon school. He would have just been taught about pokemon because in the pokemon world you must interact with pokemon or else you have no point in existing.. So therefore basic subjects do not exist.

:p
