I know it is a little soon to talk about movie 13 considering movie 12 isnt even out yet but what do you think about movie 13 featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia to coincide with HGSS? Finally give Ho-Oh a chance to shine.

I think we better continue to talk about it in the movie 12 thread
It's not like we know too much about it to really need a speculation thread just for it

Isn't there some blog that says Ho-oh and Lugia are going to battle in the 12th movie? It's late and I didn't read the Movie12 thread that closely, so I could be mistaken.

Yeah, there is a blog - go read the last 2 pages on the movie 12 thread
Other than the facts the movie is called "Ho-Oh VS Lugia" (probably temporary title like always and will change a little eventually) and the fact that the series is still called "Diamond & Pearl" - there's really nothing else known
This is why I think we better keep the discussion there...

Actually the platinum bit is added yet again but not in the Anime which makes me believe by January around 160 episodes DP will end and DPt will start. Call it a hunch.

No, the "Platinum" at the end of the title is only for the movies - it was there since movie 11
There's no point really to suddenly add it to the series too
Anyway it just proved the title won't change to HGSS like some thought which also meant it won't be counted as a "new series" - which means cast changes aren't as likely to happen... and Dawn is sure to stay if anyone had doubts... they won't remove her while the show is still called DP

On another subject does anyone think we'll finally have a Gen V pokemon in this movie

I'm so happy that Ho oh's finally gonna do something! Where's Scott? He'll be mighty pleased at this, and, I do believe he called it ;-)

Yeah we are a little early to be speculating on movie 13, we don't even know there will be a movie 13 or not, but a movie with both lugia and ho-oh might be nice, but who knows, it may not even have lugia and ho-oh in it but something else entirley.

Shinx - it was revealed at the end of the special preview for movie 12 (that aired today). Check out the movie 12 thread.

Yes but there is nothing better then spectualating about a movie we probably won't see until early 2011

Its actually an annual thing the Pokemon movies so really we will see it or at least know of it by 2010 in the summer.

I'm soooo excited to see one of, if not my absolute favourite legendary finally do something :-D

What excites me the most?

The title of the anime next year is stll "Diamond and Pearl" which means they're not changing the title because of the remakes.

Maybe we're not going back to Johto after all! Stark Mountain training arc for 15-30 episodes...here we come! :D

Elite 4 arc better happen.

Cause that totally fills up 2 years! Rock and Roll!

But seriously, Ho-Oh in a movie, that's pretty cool. Now I'm hoping Raikou gets shoved in there, so we can safely say we had all of the legendary Pokemon in a movie. And of course, obligatory insignificant 5th Gen baby somewhere in that movie is something that has a good chance of happening.

The fact that the title shown was "Diamond, Pearl & Platinum", which is the same as the ones for Movie 12 and the DVD version of Movie 11, suggests that it is tentative. If the series title could be tweaked just for the movies in order to represent Platinum, I don't see why HeartGold and SoulSilver should be an exception in a movie that is so strongly connected to them.

We can also be very sure that "Ho-0h VS Lugia" is tentative, since Movie 12 was intially referred to as "Dialga VS Palkia VS Giratina" and ended up completely different. If Ho-Oh and Lugia even have any sort of battle, it may very well be inconsequential to the real plot.

It took them what? 9 years tops to finally do something with Ho-oh?

My god. Lucario wasn't even a legendary and he popped out sooner than expected.

Yeah.....no Scott. If you have the legends of the region I doubt they would situate them on the battle island at all. I bet something with Johto will be involved.

The Regi's were in Kanto in Movie 8, Latios/Latias were in Johto despite being Hoenn legends, and Kyorge was also in Kanto.

The legendaries don't have to be in their regions at all, especially Ho-oh/Lugia who fly around the world.

But those are minor legendaries not the main legendaries of the region. Its a failed logic if you think about it and I disagree.
