Hoenn Fan Thread

Hoenn is the Best region, but a lot of people have just let it die. Why? Only Region not in Generation IV? I really hope for a Remake. Because I don't want the best region, Hoenn, to look like something a dog did on the carpet in most people's eyes. Anyone else who likes heonn, Post here!

People hate Hoenn, because of the extensive sea routes and the poor plot.
I'm totally against this and hope to see a remake of the 3rd generation games.

I personally like the sea routes, and the plot is very well thought out. Not as good as G/S/C/HG/SS though.

I thought everything about Hoenn was great. The main plot might be a little unusual for a pokemon game (save the world from destruction), but it is one I like. Compared to G/S, the whole 'Defeat Team Rocket and Stop their activities' thing seems the same as R/B/Y, with different names and characters. Which doesn't mean I think it's a bad plot.

I didn't really like R/S (Emerald was awesome though), but damn was Hoenn a beautiful region (most beautiful one of the four, I think...at least aesthetically). While I don't want RSEmakes, I do want to see Hoenn in 3-D in Gen V.

I don't really like the plot of the Hoenn games (worse plot, in my opinion) and I think that if they remake R/S it'll just lead to an endless stream of remakes that will get very old, very fast (they'd have to remake FrLg for the exact same reasons). But I'm all for a new game set in Hoenn, or the Gen V main games letting you traverse Hoenn after the E4 (ala G/S/C/HG/SS) or even a console game set in Hoenn (something akin to Colo/XD, minus the linear gameplay). Either way, Hoenn should definately return in Gen V in some form (just not a remake, that's all)

I wasn't sure if you meant the anime or the games. Either way I loved them both. Hoenn wasn't my absolute favorite region but it comes a close second to Jhoto. The Hoenn Pokemon were awesome and May made the anime and the games <3

I like the Hoenn games, actually. They were the very first games I played. And it also has really good music.

Hoenn was the first pokemon game I ever got, and its corresponding anime was also my favorite. It's hard to understand why people don't like Hoenn. It's my most treasured region ^^ Amazing new pokemon, best characters, interesting plots, and of course, the music was definietly awesome :]

i have strong hopes on remakes. if they really are made, then I will definietly get the games first thing i can xD

I've always loved Hoenn more than anything else, be it the Anime or the Games. I don't think it has a poor plot, rather it has one of the best imo.

I love Hoenn. The plot was amazing, I thought, and the Pokemon looked more monstrous than cutsie.
Of course, I'm a fangirl for both Teams, so that explains my bias.

I like Hoenn.

I liked the water routes. I liked the diving places. I liked the Pokémon. I liked the characters, despite ow minor some are(like Trick Master and Proffessor Cozmo). Yeah, while I don't think it is the best region, I think it is really great and underrated.

Hoenn isn't my favorite, but I like it. It'd be third if I ranked the regions in my opinion, and I'm also hoping for the remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. Besides Diamond, I put the most time into Sapphire. Hoenn should definitely come back in one way or another.

I love a lot of the Pokemon there, in fact it's the only region where I like all 3 of the Starters. I think Hoenn, ironically, had the most cities too. It's ironic because Hoenn is supposed to be the most untamed, forest-y region yet. I loved most of the water routes. Some were a little long (and far too much Tentacool floating around), but I did like the Diving concept. Sinnoh didn't have many places to swim (much less dive) so they had to cut it as a HM, I guess.

I like all the regions, but if I had to order them, They'd be Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Hoenn. Doesn't mean I dislike any of them.

I really liked Hoenn. It was one of the most beautiful and diverse regions in my opinion. With a remake, it could really look good. I also didn't have any problem with the water routes, but some people did; hence the Gen 3 dislike. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though.
