Holiday celebrations begin in Pokémon Masters EX, as Arven debuts his Seasonal Sync Pair with Scovillain in new Story Event The Hottest Present

The Holiday season is finally upon us in Pokémon Masters EX, bringing presents of new content for trainers. A brand new Holiday-themed story event, The Hottest Present, launches today alongside the debut of Arven's fresh seasonal outfit in a set of Seasonal Scouts with his new sync partner Scovillain. A set of special missions are also available for new Holiday-inspired photo frames and backgrounds.

Story Event: The Hottest Present
In this latest Story Event with a Holiday twist, Arven is cooking up a storm after being invited to a winter holiday party. This event will run through to December 30th, at 9:59pm (PST)

This event follows the simplified format for Story Events, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Players will need to collect a total of 10,000 Event Points for this event in order to receive all possible rewards. Featured event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Strike Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feather 109, custom Sync Orbs for Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain, and Lucky Cookies for Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain and Siebold (Holiday 2019) & Octillery. All players will also receive special artwork in-game by completing the story's finale.

As usual for events of this type, players will receive bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain: +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards
• Siebold & Clawitzer, Gladion & Silvally, Lillie (Holiday 2024) & Primarina, Bugsy (Holiday 2024) & Kricketune, Viola (Holiday 2023) & Vivillon, Sycamore (Holiday 2023) & Gogoat, Jasmine (Holiday 2022) & Ampharos, Whitney (Holiday 2022) & Sawsbuck, Leon (Holiday 2021) & Calyrex, Nessa (Holiday 2021) & Eiscue, Skyla (Holiday 2020) & Togekiss, Erika (Holiday 2020) & Comfey, Rosa (Holiday 2019) & Delibird, Siebold (Holiday 2019) & Octillery: +40% (×1.4) bonus rewards
• All other Sync Pairs with the Paldea Theme Skill: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain, Lillie (Holiday 2024) & Primarina, and Bugsy (Holiday 2024) & Kricketune would grant a combined +140% (×2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.

Event Gem Specials
In conjunction with The Hottest Present Story Event, the following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until January 1st, 2025, at 9:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems.

• December event gem special 1: Gems ×300
• December event gem special 2: Gems ×1,800
• December event gem special 3: Gems ×3,900
• December event gem special 4: Gems ×7,000

Arven Seasonal Scouts
Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain are making their debut in a set of Seasonal Scouts alongside the launch of The Hottest Present Story Event. The Arven Seasonal Scout and Arven Seasonal Tiered Scout will run through to December 30th, at 9:59pm (PDT). The associated Arven Seasonal Featured Ticket Scout, and Arven Seasonal Guaranteed Ticket Scout meanwhile will run through to January 6th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Arven (Holiday 2025) & Scovillain are a Fire-type Tech Sync Pair with a Support EX Role. When raised to 6★ EX, Arven's outtfit shifts to a pink sweater and brown pants with a green apron.

The Arven Seasonal Scout gives players bonus presents for the first three times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11, awarding Tech Move Candy Coins each time. The Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. As the name suggests, these daily discounts can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

In addition to the regular Seasonal Scout, players can also take advantage of an Arven Seasonal Tiered Scout. This scouts has ten tiers, each of which is a Sync Pair Scout ×11. Players are able to scout once on each tier by using Paid Gems, with the amount of gems increasing with each tier. Additionally, Tiers 5 and 10 of the Scout grants the player special tickets to use in the associated Arven Seasonal Featured Ticket Scout and Arven Seasonal Guaranteed Ticket Scout.

Arven (Holiday) Gem Emote
A special Gems with Gym Emotes offer is available from the in-game shop alongside the Arven Seasonal Scouts, allowing players to obtain a Arven (Holiday) Gym Emote as a present. This offer, which comes with 250 paid gems, can be purchased under the With Emotes tab in the Purchase Gems menu of the in-game shop until January 6th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Limited-Time Expedition Areas and Locations in the Trainer Lodge
Until December 30th at 9:59pm (PDT), limited-time Holiday-themed locations will be available during interactions at the Trainer Lodge, along with a Limited-Time Expedition Area.

Players will also be able to form a Special Team in this Expedition Area that can receive substantial amounts of Expedition Awards. Adding certain Sync Pairs to this Special Team will grant special bonuses to Discovery Level in addition to the normal change based on Expedition Skill. Drop-In Events will not appear for Special Teams on Expeditions. Once the limited-time expedition area disappears, Special Teams will be automatically disbanded, with any unclaimed items able to be received by going to the expedition screen.

Photo Frame and Background Missions
A special set of 3 missions are now available, allowing players to earn a special summer Photo Frame and Background to use in the Photo Creator.

• Mission 1: Use stamina (/100) - Gems ×50
• Mission 2: Use stamina (/200) - Gems ×100
• Mission 3: Use stamina (/300) - Frame: No. 45

Completing all 3 missions will also award players with Background: No. 125. Players who have previously received either Frame: No. 45 or Background: No. 125 will receive a 3★ Power-Up Instead.
