So, what all did you get for Christmas/other holidays?

I'll post my list when I get back from my grandparents' house later.

Just some cash from relatives and a few 3XL sweatshirts received via UPS. Nowadays since I can get all the games I want long before Christmas, I don't have to wait until the end of the year to receive them as I used to when I was a child.

Not too much but the stuff is pretty good
a fluffy, really nice blanket
An iPod nano
An iPod nano holder
a whole box of Pepsi cans
a whole box of gumballs for my machine.
A Barbie
Zelda Twilight Princess (No Wii though)
Pokemon Ranger
that's about it
oh yeah and backup Sony earphones.

Lessee...

  • Nintendo Wii w/ Wii Sports
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
  • Final Fantasy III (DS)
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Mini Mario
  • Yoshi's Island DS
  • Children of Mana
  • A The Simpsons Trivia Desk Calander
  • Candy X)
  • Assorted Wii and DS Accessories
  • Clothes

- About $125
- Two sets of bath towels and washcloths
- Bedroom slippers
- Gold necklace
- Wallet that can hold everything
- Two John Coltrane CDs: Blue Train, A Love Supreme
- Kind of Blue, a Miles Davis CD
- Gameboy Advance SP that I won't break(hopefully)

What's missing: the fixed laptop.

Money from relatives
Accurian HD Radio (I've had it for a month, but it's my Christmas present from my grandparents)
Creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro (doesn't work)
Logitech Wireless Audio System (sounds like crap)
Atomic Fireballs
Reese's
Kisses (not the kind I'd like, =P but whatever)
USB cable kit thing (it's quite nice)
1GB USB Disk (it was free or something with rebates)
4GB USB Disk (tiny and cheap! $15 after rebates)

Outside of the HD Radio and the money, I think the actual amount spent on the rest is less than $30.

To be fair, I didn't really want anything much. I think a new Micro SD card and a 320GB USB hard drive may be on the way, but the Micro SD card was like $15 and the hard drive is for the whole family to use.

What I wanted and haven't gotten so far is the company of my friends. One's grounded, one was on vacation and got back yesterday, one's on vacation and returns tomorrow, and the other is just plain busy. Here's hoping.

I got a They Might Be Giants hoodie, a fleece blanket, a $20 EB gift card, a membership to the Denver Art Museum, tickets for me and my boyfriend to see The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee musical, diamond earrings from said boyfriend, a sled, Talladega Nights on dvd, Blockus (best game EVER), a cool Japanese woodblock calendar, Spyro: New Beginnings for my DS and a bunch of other cool stuff. :D

Let's see.. I got:

- A barbeque (I'd really been wanting one since I moved into this apartment where I actually haev the space for one)
- A deep fryer (something else I've been wanting, since I like shrimp and fries deep fried)
- Bath/shower stuff
- JC Penny gift card
- NY & Company gift card
- Target gift card
- 2007 calendar
- A new blanket (super soft!)
- Slippers (also super soft!)
- A new Christmas ornament (family tradition)
- Chocolate fondue set
- Earrings
- A box of Sees candy (that is actually supposed to be split with my mom and dad, but my mom said I could have the whole thing)
- Some church thing where a year's worth of school supplies were given to a boy in Africa in our name (me, my mom and my dad)

And a few more little piddly things. I'm used to getting a ton of gift cards for places like Best Buy and books stores and everything. But my grandma or someone heard a news story about people stealing the numbers off the backs of gift cards and using them before the person the card is given to gets to use it (or something) so hardly anyone gave gift cards this year. Which kind of sucks, since I love getting gift cards. Especially to Best Buy and such, so I can get myself new movies/games and books. But, oh well. I like what I got, at least. :)

I got:
- Clothing
- New Laptop

* two vegetarian cookbooks
* "Naked Republicans" book
* a necklace
* "Shake the Sheets" - Ted Leo and the Pharmacists CD
* a t-shirt with a rabbit on it
* a Gorillaz t-shirt
* a patch and pin

I think that's it. Nothing I really wanted except money.

~One of those "collectible" Barbie-like dolls, wearing a kimono
~A purse
~A necklace

And nothing on my wishlist.

Curses to those who got a Wii for Christmas. Unlike you, I'm working to earn mine. Which will make getting it all the more cool.
Anyhoo, my list:
A cactus
Pajamas
Socks
Underwear
A wallet
Mario Kart DS
A DS carrying case
Numb3rs Season One on DVD
Star Trek: TNG Season Six on DVD
Gum
Lip balm
A t-shirt depicting a stick-figure man with one leg and one arm, holding a stick of dynamite, with the caption "I'm a slow learner."
My parents are financially responsible. Which is why I didn't have a large amount of presents this year.

My boyfriend said he is going to buy a Wii for us with his Christmas money ($1,200... jeez), so it all worked out, I guess.

I got:

-White DS Lite
- DS 'Essential Protector Kit' (extra stylus, 2 game cases, screen covers and a mitten)
- Pink Nintendogs DS carry case
- Nintendogs Daschund and Friends
- Mystery Dungeon Blue
- Strategy guide for Mystery Dungeon
- Parrot calendar
- 'Talking with Animals' by Charlotte Uhlenbroek

- £30 in WH Smiths vouchers < probably going to get a CD
- Big, cuddly dog with a (seperate) flashing Santa hat < present from housemates

Knew I was getting the DS (and all assorted crap), the calendar, and the Maltesers so the majority of what I got wasn't a surprise, but I liked what I didn't know about as well, so everything's good.

- A pair of weight training gloves
- A pair of Nintendo Gamecube controllers
- Megaman ZX...sigh, I'll have to return it, as I hate any Megaman game not from the Battle Network spin-off...
- DVD player...gonna have to return it as my PS2 plays DVDs, anyway...
