I think that the main planet in the Pokémon anime series on which all of the episodes occur is a hollow planet containing many species of undiscovered pokémon which dwell under its outer surface.

Uhh, ok, sounds feasible. I like to think they see new pokemon from going to new contients, where different pokes live.

The surface could just be incredibly dense. You would be pulled to the center of gravity anyway, which would be the same. A better question is, if the outer shell is structurally sound enough to somehow not collapse in due to gravity, and dense enough to produce that much on its own, then how the hell do pokemon burrow through it to the surface to be discovered?

Pokemon live in the hollow, "dark" side of the world. When they die, they live on the surface, and the other way around.

Eventually, the prosperity of the surface makes disasters in the inside that anihilate a pokemon species, which makes them appear on the surface.

Except this isn't Terranigma, it's Pokemon.

it one theory but not a very good one considering it's sort of a fan-fic theory
