The title is kinda lame, but I really don't know what else to call this thread.
I searched for things similar to it, and couldn't find a topic started here in the Games section.
This also may be moved to the ''Older Games'' section, but it involves all of the Games, so I didn't think it should be posted there. I apologize if this ends up being considered ''Spam'' or ''in the wrong place''. I'd appreciate it being moved instead of locked, but I will understand either way. I have not made many threads on here so, I'm not sure how things go. Anyway, on with the real question.

That was just me explaining why I posted this. So yeah, I was wondering, where does everyone think people come from? I mean, we know in RedGreenBlueYellow version, you are from Pallet Town. It kinda seems like you were born there and have lived there your entire life until you start your adventure. But what about Oak? And your mom? And the rest of the major characters in the game.

There are a ton of Major Roles in the games. Steven, Cynthia, Giovanni. I was wondering where everyone thinks their hometown is/where they are from. Yeah, there are also a few that we know for sure, like Red and Blue. And Bill. And probably others that I am forgetting...

So I ask you all to give your input on where you think people are from. Also, it'd be nice to know if there is any Canon in the games, like Blue and Red, (I think Ruby and Sapphire are from Johto no?), and Bill.

*Also, note that I am in fact talking about the Games. Not anime.

Well, I'm pretty sure Cynthia is from Celestic Town; her family is at least. I always thought Steven was from Mossdeep too; isn't that where his house is in R/S/E?

Also, are any of those canon? I mean,I know some are, but other I am not sure if they are canon or not. It'd be neat if you had time to add why you are saying what you are. Also, I am making a similar list to show what I think. Thanks again for the great post Envoy.

Wally-Verdanturf town

Wally is a Petalburg native. It's his uncle, aunt and cousin that live in Verdanturf, he was visiting to get fresher air to deal with his asthma.

Lucian-His grandpa lives in the desert north of the Resort area so...

Actually, that was Cyrus' grandfather.

Anyway, my thoughts.

First, Gym Leaders. Most of them are definitely natives of their respective Gym towns, but there are a few exceptions.

Lt. Surge - Canonically from America. I'm not even going to attempt guessing which state, though.
Blaine - I don't think he's a Cinnabar native. He's probably from Lavender Town, like Fuji.
Giovanni - I always thought he's from Viridian.
Norman (+ RSE protagonist) - Canonically from Johto. I don't get the feeling they lived in a very big town... maybe Cherrygrove?
Fantina - Canonically from abroad. I'd say France, judging by her vocabulary.
Byron - Probably originally from Oreburgh. Hey, that was the case in the anime, plus Oreburgh is well-known for the whole fossil thing.

As for Elite Four members...

Lorelei - Canonically from Four Island (Floe Island)
Bruno - Always thought he was from Cianwood, actually.
Agatha - Probably from Pallet Town, if she's known Oak for so long.
Lance - Pretty much confirmed he's from Blackthorn City. His grandfather and cousin are there, after all.
Will - I was thinking about Ecruteak City, since he's a psychic trainer and looks like an entertainer. Kind of reminds me of the firebreathers and jugglers nearby.
Karen - I want to say Goldenrod City. Dunno why.
Sidney - I thought Slateport would be good. No good reason... "Sidney" just reminds me of sea, for whatever reason. *shrugs*
Phoebe - Pacifidlog Town, because of the island girl getup. There are plenty of ghosts for her to play with at the tower nearby.
Glacia - Snowpoint City! Well, she trained in a different region before becoming an Elite in Hoenn, she doesn't talk funny, and she's an Ice trainer.
Drake - I thought about Mossdeep City, since he's so sea-based.
Steven - Rustboro City. He probably lives in Mossdeep now because there are many treasures to be found around there plus it's relatively close to Wallace.
Wallace - Sootopolis City
Aaron - I think Eterna City is a good bet. Lots of bugs in that forest, plus honey trees.
Bertha - I want to say Pallet Town. Curses, Agatha.
Flint - Probably the Survival Area. He's Buck's older brother, after all.
Lucian - I have no clue. I kind of want to say Hearthome, though.
Cynthia - Definitely Celestic Town.

As for other NPCs and villains and such... still need to think about it. I'll get back to you on that.

Didn't he mention things about training on iron island when they were younger? Plus he's a steel type trainer, so I think Canalave would make more sense.
