I need clarification about how the Honey Trees work. The Bulbapedia article does not clarify this at all.

Supposedly a Pokemon appears six hours after dumping Honey on a particular tree. Is this six hours of gameplay or six hours of real time?

If it's six hours of real time, it makes a bit more sense. If it's six hours of gameplay, then obtaining the particular Pokemon I am looking for has become an absolutely ridiculous hassle. It already is a hassle, but it then would no longer seem worth it.

I ask then, if there's any clarification on this? I need a big physical bruiser for a leveling team that I don't have to rely on Trades for and Heracross is just the bug I'm looking for.

It's six hours of real time, just like with berries and other time-related things in DPPt.

Ok...That's a huge relief.

I would also like to express what a stupid idea the Honey Trees are. They REALLY should have stuck to headbutting trees.

I read somewhere that it was half a day untill a pokemon appears, then a full day untill the Honey wears off. It might be six hours for all I know, but I would recomend going after your tree before a full 24.
