Hot threads

Oh I thought you meant something else.

Anyways if you hover your mouse over the icon it will tell you "more than 20 replies or 200 views".

Only 20? I don't think that's enough...

Edit: That can't be correct, just saw a thread with 29 posts and over 600 views, wasn't hot.

I was wondering this myself... does it require a certain number of members to have posted as well? (i.e. not just the same 2 people making 20 posts)

Have a thread with 25 posts, 225 views, and it's hot. Another one with 14 posts, 379 views, and it's also hot.

What makes 'em? ...Don't remember, off-hand.

Are you sure that it isn't something like there have to be 20 replies/200 views during a certain time period, it's just silly if threads that are long dead are still considered 'hot'.

I think the criteria for "hotness" should be based on the number of replies/views it gets versus the number of days it's been on the forum.

Please note: The thread is from 16 years ago.
Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
