I think everyone can agree that the Harry Potter franchise is in terrible hands. Here you can predict just how badly the 4th movie will suck.

Well I loved the first two. POA was *beep*. The main problem with this movie will probably be detail. The book was longer than the first three, so they won't be able to fit all the story into 2 1/2 hours at most.

Not only longer than the first three, it was longer than any two of the first three put together. Given how much had to be left out of the earlier ones, I don't expect much out of this one.

We can expect the tournament, and of course the scene after the Third task. But I doubt we will see much subplot.

I have to say, after seeing the trailer, I actually WANT to see this one in theaters. The last ones, I just waited for the DVD, but I'm REALLY blown away by how good this one looks. Of course, it's been a while since I've read the book, and I'm sure I've forgotten a ton of details, but I'm really excited about this one. Usually I'm a stickler for the differences between movies and books, but with the Harry Potter films, I've not been able to find any problems that I don't normally have with books made into films.

Hopefully, not too bad, though I'm not holding my breath. I mean, they messed up the grave and had to airbrush the names differently. That tells you something.

Too be honest, probably really bad, ever since HP:ATPS, it's been going badly, the first one was probably the best and the next movie isn't going to change my opinion, that Harry Potter is going downhill.

That's only one movie, though, Typhlosion.

According to Wikipedia, they cut out The Dursleys, Percy Weasley, Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Mrs. Weasley, Ludo Bagman, Winky, Dobby and the House-Elves.

With sections needing to be cut, the SPEW subplot seems obvious, but they lose a lot of set-up. Dobby is used in the next two books, (and most likely the last book as well.) Neville fills in here, but he won't know about the Room of Requirement or be able to follow Malfoy. (I suppose they could get around the second one, but they'll miss out on a great moment.)

Cutting from the dream to the Weasly's could make sense, but to lose them as well. Percy is really important for the transition to "Order of the Pheonix". Talking of which, I have no idea how they will turn that into a movie!

According to NOM, (Nintendo Official Magazine UK,) this looks like it will be the best Harry Potter video game to date. So if you don't want to watch the movie, you could always get that instead.

I've seen all the movie's though. Could you give any screen's of the new game?

Look's ok, the graphic's arn't the best but the storyline might make up for it. I'd rather watch the film then play the game first though. Since it might give to much away.

No Dursleys, Bill, Bagman, or Winky?!?! Bill is the coolest of the Weasleys! How can they do this?

Amazing! They didn't mess this movie up one bit! Except for the absence of blast-ended skrewts, this movie was nothing short of the best movie this year.

No blast-ended skrewts? So is there anything kept from outside the main plot?

Moody still turned Malfoy into a ferret which I was sure wouldn't be in the movie. Great scene.

There was also no wand weighing, no Rita/animagis thing, no prize money or joke shop talk. But for some reason none of that matters when you see this movie...

As long as it is good as a movie. And I can't wait to see ferret Malfoy now!

If you want to see a vaguely decent action flick based on the tournament - this one's for you.

If you're looking for the story that set up all the events of 5 and 6, stay home. This one isn't for you.

Yes, some cut had to be made - but they made the wrong cuts. Cutting Skeeter scenes - cutting the *critical* Skeeter scenes that sets up nearly all the events of Order of the Phoenix - (ie, her evil moments - Hagrid's ancestry and painting Harry as a madman) to make room for five minutes of that stupid Magyar chasing Harry all over the place, smashing half of Hogwart in the process, and another few minutes of Moaning Myrtle getting Harry to cover himself in bubbles while she's one step removed from giving him a strip-tease...

That's not necessary cuts. That's a colossal absence of brain.

You really get the impression the director doesn't even *know* there's a fifth part.
