I thought this might be interesting for a topic here. How big do you think the Pokemon World is? Do you think it's the same size as Earth? Does it have the same number of Continents? How many regions do you think there are? There are currently five known regions but it is unknown whether they are on the same continent or not. Kanto and Johto are right next to each other, so we know about them, just not the other regions, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova.

Near the end of Master Quest it was said that Hoenn was "across the sea" but they talk about it as if it was on the same continent.

I think it's about the same size as Earth. And if we count the side series canon with the main series, there are nine known regions. Counting Fioree, Almnia, Oblivia, and Orre.

I think it's probably the same size as Earth and probably has the same number of continents. What I want to know is, which regions are on which continent or are they all on different ones, we know Kanto and Johto are in the same continent at least by the games, the others are anyone's guess.

There are actually at least 4 more regions unless you don't consider the spinoffs to be canon

I think the Pokemon world is the same size of earth. I remember during the intros of some of the movies, they show a globe, implying that it's very similar to our earth. There's some distance between Unova and the other regions which also supports the idea of it being a whole planet.

I've seen people say that they think that Almnia is the southern tip of Sinnoh that goes off the map. And the shape does kind of fit.

The Pokemon World is bigger than any human's imagination (in other words, bigger than our brains could perceive), because with all the fans coming up with their own regions, it won't even be enough for the size of the Earth to cover everything. However, that's good because this allows it to accommodate the species diversity it is having.

Thanks for reading.

I don't think we have any basis to go on for the size of the Pokemon world. It could be half the size of earth, it could be triple the size, who knows?

It's gotta be at least a little bigger than our own; really big and powerful Pokemon like Aggron like to live solitary, so there has to be some room for them. There's also the Legendaries and others who manipulate the environment.

But then again, nobody bats an eye at foot travel compared to our world...

We have different continents we've got Kanjoh/Tojoh (Where Kanto and Johto are) The Hoenn Archipelago, Sinnoh could be like Australia and whatever Continent Unova is own... which may or may not share it with Orre (which is based off of Arizona) I wonder if Surge is from Unova? or from other US based region?
