You know, I am pretty curious. How did you ever got into shipping?

Me? I thought always that Jessie and James were a couple, and since some friends said this isn't true, I couldn't believe them and I still support Rocketshipping.

I was reading random articles on Bulbapedia several years ago when I was just discovering the fandom and stumbled across the list of shipping articles. Fascinated, I looked at all of them and decided which ones I thought made sense. I've changed my mind on a lot of them over the years, though.

I was a noobish, romantic-minded 10 year old under the impression that Ash and Misty were in luv. >__> Then I found fanfiction. Then I found PalettShipping. Then AG came along and ContestShipping was awesome. Now CafeMocha. And all sorts of not-so-prevalent ships. I was in awe, and entertained.

Never RocketShipping, though. One of the first websites I found myself at was Pokemopolis as an impressionable child, therefore I still hold many of their views.

Well I mostly came around after playing Mario Bros and saw the adorable kiss on the cheek for the mustached hero at the end. Hooray for adorable awesomeness

well, lets see.

It started in the second movie when i thought misty had a crush on ash because of the cliched "He not my boyfriend. He is a boy, and a friend, but not my BOYFRIEND!" line.

However, i never say ash returning the feelings, so i just thought i was parinoid or it was one-sided (<--still think that one).

Then, when i turned 17, i was randomly looking up angies crush on ash, and came across advanceshipping :)unworthy:). After that, and after having a girlfriend of my own, i have come to the conclusion as to which pairing i will ALWAY support. i will give you one guess as to what my #1 is. :smokin:

If I remember right, it started back in AG with Anabel, I liked Abilityshipping. Than I saw those specials in AG started to really like Orangeshipping. D/P came around and saw how Ash and Dawn were close with each other and noticed that they had great chemistry, that's when I truly started to ship. Than Angei was in D/P and I liked her with him as well, than Negaishipping {Ash/Iris} I thought was really cute and I said screw it, I'm a multi Ash shipperXD

I didn't really question it. When I was about 8 or 9 growing up with Pokemon, i honestly thought Ash and Misty were boyfriend and girlfriend.
It was only after re-watching when I was older that I realized they weren't XD

I shipped Steven and May when I played my first Pokémon game. Then I discovered the internet and the term "shipping".

I think Brendan and May got me into shipping. I just felt more attached to R/S's characters than previous generations, so I had more of a "story" in my mind as I played.

I was thinking of ways to annoy James, and then I randomly clicked this section, discovered shipping, and created Doomsdayshipping. Hehehe.

Also, I had previously created a huge love web full of cheaters, haters, and exes for the Sinnoh characters, which helped me get even more into it.

I became a Pokeshipper when I stumbled across shipping articles in Bulbapedia. i read up the hints, and eventually, I became a Pokeshipper.

I got into shipping pretty lately. While I did always like the idea of Colosseumshipping (before I even knew what shipping was), I didn't officially get into it until DP came out and I found Ikarishipping. That shipping brought me into the world of shippings and I haven't looked back XD

I've just pretty much always paired characters up for as long as I can remember (most canonical obviously...[is that a word?])

Pretty sure I was a ColosseumShipper way back when I first played the game not long after it came out. Since Rui always was within a five step distance of Wes, it just fit for me.

I didn't get into shipping for real until years later, though. I think it was all the art and clubs on dA that influenced me... I was a bit of a PokeShipper for a very short period of time just because I saw it EVERYWHERE but then I tossed it aside.

I'd say the first two ships I actually started to be fans of were BurningLeaf (Red x Leaf) and Newbark (Gold x Cyrs). The reason pretty much being because at the time I was in this huge HURRR DURR KANTO + JOHTO > ALL, NO EXCEPTIONS phase. (This was shortly before HGSS got announced. xD) I'm still a big BurningLeaf shipper and while I still support Newbark... I don't care about it as much anymore.

Haha, these are really interesting to read XD

I know that ever since I was a little, I've "paired" characters up, especially if the series tried to make it obvious at times *coughDUBPOKESHIPPING* but my first serious ship was Rocketshipping. It was what got me into the fandom in the first place, when I was about 10 or so. I discovered fanfiction and from there, I went to those old webrings and fansites.

I didn't really ship much else until about 2007-ish when I got back into Diamond and Pearl and discovered how much of a jerk ass Paul was, and how perfect he was with Ash. Then the floodgates were cracked and I actually began to contribute to/participate in the shipping fandom for the first time ^^

I just got into the idea of it after watching my first ever episode of Hoenn. I remember it vividly - it was that lame Pelipper episode where the guy shoved Pokeballs in the thing's mouth.

Well, the episode definitely sucked, but I was really absorbed by May's character, and there seemed to be this invisible chemistry between her and Ash. I had been out of the fandom for a few years (anime-wise at least; I still played the games regularly) and I was surprised Misty wasn't there. I had never liked the idea of Ash and Misty getting together but figured it was inevitable, so I was really interested in learning more about this new girl. Then a trip to Serebii's forums and I found the Advanceshipping General Discussion thread, and, well the rest, as they say, is history.
