They were made by DiC entertainment in the late 80's/early 90's?

For those who don't know who DiC entertainment was, they're the same american company that made several cartoons from that time era, such as Inspector Gadget, Super Mario Bros and Sonic the Hedgehog (the cartoons that Youtube poops are made from essentially).

Would you be able to watch a show about Pokémon that revolved far more around episodic antics of Ash and Team Rocket rather then progression to be a Pokémon Master? Would you able to stand Ash and Pikachu having a trademark favourite food in the same way Mario and Sonic were given one? (Pasta for Mario, Chilidogs for Sonic), and Would you be able to watch a show where at the end of the episode, they would give a safety tip/advice that would probably be pretty narmy when you think of it?

Just how different would Pokémon be?

i would, actually, like it more, because I have that sence of humor and entertainment.

p.s. and on the food topic, Luigi <3 Spaghetii

Also, it would have no character development whatsoever, and the only hint of a storyline being the annual 2-part "to be continued" episode.

It would be directly based off the video games and extremely crappy. It would be made into a bunch of Youtube Poops and Pokemon would not be famous and well-loved. We probably wouldn't even have a Generation 3.

so your saying youtube poop = poop? because it isn't, it's crap

Oh dear gosh. You made a part of the universe collapse by finding the only possible way Pokemon could have been even more kiddie than it was. That being said, both those old Mario and Sonic shows lasted for a decent amount of time in cartoon standards of the time, and as much as I myself despise AoStH, a lot of people fondly remember it. (I have not seen if this is true for the Mario cartoon) However, DiC also made Sonic SatAM, which is awesome. I don't know how well this would mix with Pokemon, as it would require a re-imagining from the ground up. I can only think that it would be something like the manga, but I am not sure.

Do we get an episode where Pikachu saves Milli Vanilli?

Having recently seen quite a few DiC cartoons (SMBSS, SMB3, The Real Ghostbusters, etc.), I must say, I think the show is much better for being made later, after the initial wave of shows like those. I'm not saying those shows were bad, but clearly they hadn't learned all of the stuff they know about working the source material in and whatnot.

Sonic the Hedgehog isn't so bad.
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog sucks big time. (There are two, not sure if DIC made both or just Adventures, the first is most known as SATM and actually episodic and makes one heck more sense than the other.)

But yeah...I have quirks enough about the current Pokèmon anime...if Dic made it...scary thought.

I guess it would have sucked as much as those cartoons did? And they characters would look a lot uglier.

I can imagine Pikachu going crazy everytime he sees ketchup.
There we go! Pokemon's mascot food would be Ketchup. Seriously though it would be too awkward to watch. Amusing but awkward. But then again if Pokemon was a console phenomenon on the NES then good lord that would mean we would be in the 6th gen on the Wii in full-on 3D.

It would probably be in several Youtube Poops for sure. :)

What if it was made into both? The actual anime from Japan and some failed cartoon attempt from America. This would make a very interesting youtube poop.

I actually liked that Sonic growing up, so I think I'd find it cute, but probably watch it all out-of-sequence sporadically. x3;;

I think Ash's aunt from that Nintendo promotional video would actually exist.

BTW, I gotta wonder if Youtube Poops would exist if this were to happen. There's no doubt that Pokemon, the way it is, has had a pretty large impact on popular culture, and even seems like one of the main triggers for anime's surge of popularity in the west (which could effect the development of the internet this past decade, namely video-sharing). I can see the course of history altering pretty drastically, which leaves me to wonder if in such a timeline whether someone would still stumble upon footage from the infamous CD-i games, suddenly decide "This shit is so bad it's great!" before making videos that were lucky enough to catch on and start a trend amongst the general public.

*dream bubble*
Ash: C'mon Pikachu, you had enouth ketchup.
Pika: My PokeBurger is dry.
Ash: No! LEGO!
Pika: Thundurbolt11111
Ash: *falls*

This writes itself!
Lol, 200x, Pokemon Poops. C'mon, you PIHGAS, you had enough FAlcon Puanch!

I scare myself.

I regret mentioning Youtube Poops in the OP, they're a bane on internet humor.
