how do i upload a GIF image as my avatar?

it is already my avatar, but look at it. he's no party animal. he's meant to be moving. can someone help me out here?
 
@Teh Mastah ; if the GIF is larger than 115 x 115 pixels in size, the forum will resize it, which will usually nullify its animation.
 
aww, that sucks. well, i guess i'll have to find another image. thanx anyway.
