I am quite new to planing the gen III games, I was wondering about the personalities that Pokemon have. I noticed there was that Battle tent that you need to allow your pokwemon to move on their own, does it effect the friendship level? Also, is there any personalities that you would want/not want a pokemon you are using often to have?

The personalities affect a pokemon's growth. Each has a downside and a good side. For example, a Rash nature raises the growth of Special Attack (Take it from a Porygon lover), and lowers Special Deffense.

It doesn't raise the growth, it either increases and decreases the maximum capacity for that Pokemon's stat by 10%, or leaves it neutral.

I think they are talking about a Battle Tent, the practice places you find now in contest towns.

The battle palace and the tent in Verdenturf are, more-or-less, the same thing.

The personalities (I thought those were natures and personalities were added in 4th gen, but that's just me being a little overly-detailed) do raise certain aspects in a pokemon stats as they grow, but I have no idea how those affect the battle palace/Verdenturf tent, except that pokemon with different natures have different stradegies.
