Some of us just pile up the pokemons in the order they were obtained. Some of us arrange them by dex numbers. Some will arrange by pokemon types. How do you arrange your PC boxes?

For me, I have separate boxes for pokemon from the Dream World, legendaries, N's pokemons, and Curtis' pokemons. The rest sort of piles up.

Popular options:
1. Random Pile Box - Usually put in the order they were obtained.

2. Breeding Box - Eggs, Ditto, and other.

3. Legendary Box - Legendaries

4. Shiny Box - Shiny Pokemon

5. N Box - N's Pokemon

6. Trade Box - Pokemon standby for trading and/or obtained by trade

7. EV Training Box - Pokemon in-training and/or to-be-trained

8. Living Pokedex Box - Arranged in the order of the National Dex

9. Type Box - Arranged by primary type

10. Dream World (Females) Box - Pokemon from the Dream World

11. Specific Pokemon Box - Includes having several of the same pokemon like Unown.

Box 1-10 random junk
Box 11-12 legendarys and N Pokes
13-15 DWFs
16 IV trained squad pokes
17-19 breeding stock and international breeding pokes
20-21 outstanding hatched pokes
22 eggs
23-24 junk for GTS (AA lv1 dwf usually)

Every game before Black and White my boxes were filled randomly. No structure whatsoever. However, in Black and White I completed the National Dex for the first time and my boxes were arranged by Dex No.

I really like it that way, so I've done it in BW2 as well. I intend to do it in every game from now on, providing I have a completed or nearly completed Pokedex.

I'm kind of surprised that nobody who's posted has the same method as me, I though it would be pretty common.

I sort the first 17 boxes by type, in order of the Kanto and Johto gyms. (Rock, water, electric... Ice, dragon, then dark)

After those, I have 2 boxes for legendaries, a box for Ev trained/competitive pokemon, a box for unown, a box for N's pokemon, and 2 boxes for eggs/breeding.

I like to make a living pokédex (as in, i have EVERY pokemon in it, so bulbasaur and ivysaur and venasaur each have their own slot for example), so i put them in dex number. But i also include the various forms. So I have 28 different Unowns next to each other. This takes up 23 boxes, but i am not done yet. The 24th box, i put my spares, such as event legendaries (unless the event is the only way to get said pokemon) and any other extras i may need for trading purposes

I used to actually take the time to organize my Pokemon but now I couldn't be bothered to. I normally just use my play-through team and then have a few boxes for different competitive teams I like to use. Maybe a box for legendary Pokemon, but that's about it.

I think, though, that in X&Y I'll try to actually catch as many as I can, then organize them based on the locations they're found (i.e. sea, beach, mountain, forest, city, etc.). It never made sense to me to organize based on Pokedex # or type. Maybe I get too into the game, but I would never want my Pelipper and Wingull living with Pokemon like Gyarados and Tentacruel. They would drown or be eaten!

Box 4 is always my 'Special' box. This differs betweens games, but usually it means my favored in-game party at that moment. Then I have a Legendaries box, a Breeding box, Type-Specific Metagame box, and the rest are labeled Random.

Regular Pokémon, the shitty early game Pokémon, legendaries, and shinies.

Legends in the furthest back boxes (22-24)
Best stuff in the first few boxes
And everything else after them, in rough order of importance.

I sort my Pokemon by Pokedex number order. It helps me find what I am looking for right away.

I guess everyone has boxes for legendaries and shinies.

On my White file, where I MM (which will soon be in my W2 file once I get the Shiny Charm), I have boxes named after how many eggs up to that point starting with "30", then 60, 90 etc. Does anyone else do that?

I also keep Pokemon that have been transferred from previous teams and competitive team Pokemon separate from the random boxes, just so I don't accidentally trade away an important Pokemon in the GTS...

Heh. It's amusing to see how pedantic Pokefans can be, even with their PC boxes. :"D

I could never find myself filling each box by Dex No.

In the past I've had legendaries or events in their own box, Dream World Pokemon in their own box, eggs hatched when I was shiny hunting in their own box, etc.

I literally have 3 Pokemon on my White 2 at the moment (4 once I download the event Keldeo), but I'm thinking of organizing my Pokemon based on what habitat I think they'd be in total biology nerd

I've got the first for main team members I need to put on stand-by; the second is for random crud that I catch on a whim; the third is for the random crud I really like/rare findings; the fourth is for events and legendaries; the fifth is my breeding pairs; and the sixth is for mons I'll put up for trade. The rest aren't really used much.

For me I have a box for my team and HM-slave pokemon, a box for legendaries, a box for eggs and babies, and the rest I arrange in boxes by which environment they belong in, to match the wallpapers. Since so much stuff goes in forest, in my W2 I have multiple Forest boxes, one for plant and bug-type and one for everything else, such as normal-types and stuff.

I box my Pokemon in National Pokedex order starting in Box 1 (or as it's known in my games: 1 - 30). The remaining boxes are named Other and hold shinies, eggs, duplicates, etc.

In generation IV and V games I have different boxes for Kanto/Hoenn, Johto/Sinnoh and Unova legendaries. Additionally I have also some special boxes where I keep my breeding stuff (Dittos and eggs).

Before BW/B2W2, I was a slave of organization. I had different boxes for ever tenth level (except the first one), like this: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49... etc, along with a box for legendaries and in SS I also had a box for Unown.

In White I said screw it, and arranged it all simply like this: 1 Legendary box, 1 "Misc" box (where I put things like HM slaves, Pokemon I'm going to train, team members, shinies), 1 "Breeding" box (where I put Pokemon I used in breeding), 1 "Singles" box and 1 "Doubles" box (for competitive teams). I named the rest of the boxes "Reg", for regular, where I just threw in random crap.

In White 2 I arranged it the same, but I removed my "Breeding" box (cause I had shifted to using PokeGen) and instead put in "N's PKMN".

I usually just pile my Pokemon into random boxes. Though starting with Black and White, I've been giving the boxes name all based on random adjectives and adverbs. Like "Cool Box" and "Sassy Box". While I still just pile Pokemon into random boxes, naming them makes them feel more organized. I also have been trying to collect all the starters Gen I -V (including Pikachu and Eevee since those are the Yellow starters) , so I have a separate box for just those starters. Maybe for Black 2 and White 2 or Gen VI I'll start organizing my boxes more.
