I just got through Watching the Promo for Powerpuff Girls Z and it seems very different from the first US version of Powerpuff girls. All of the main characters are there, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, the Professor, Mojo... but it seems to be changed into a Magical Girl Series.

It's got me intrested to say the least, I don't know weather its a bad thing or a good thing. The trailler got me excited, but I hope they retain the original feels of the show.

Then I remembered all the other American Properties that got Japan Modified. Some that I feel were good (like, in at least my opinion, Witchblade) , and others that I felt were weird (Ninja Turtles).

So I was wondering what is everyone's else opinions on this reworking of series for other countries (or even for that matter comparing when China or America recreates a japanese property)

Also, yeah, for the part talking about the Ninja Turtles... There was at least an ova series that I've seen a long time ago, where The Turtles got Samurai Armor like Ronin Warriors and could transform into mechs to protect some kind of fairy and her crystal. They also had all sorts of wierd gadgets to use.

As a long time hard core powerpuff girls fan, I've got to say that that promo is pretty neat. I've been pretty interested in what it's going to look like ever since it was first announced, and I'm not dissapointed. I want to see where it goes, since the original sure isn't going anywhere soon.

As for the whole idea in general, I really don't care that much. If a remake of something is bad, I'll just not watch it and continue on with watching the original if I can.
