How do you feel about Dawn getting _____ from the opening,?

I believe this deserves its own thread.

In the new opening Dawn seems to have a Togekiss. I find this very ironic. An evolution of what was once one of Misty's old signature Pokemon. I have speculation that the evil Togepi will return and that's the one Dawn eventually captures, but does anyone find this ironic?

Between Misty's total absence in the DP series, and the fact that Dawn is getting a Togekiss, I'm pretty surprised. It makes it seem like everything that Misty once had to herself, (water stuff like the Wallace Cup and Movie 9 going to May), and Togekiss (going to Dawn), that the writers have pretty much turned the current series against Misty in almost every way possible.

Really surprising to say the least.
 
The fact that Misty had a Togepi once doesn't even matter. I'm just annoyed that a character like Dawn gets such a cool Pokemon. I mean... come on, man, it's too cool for her.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the evil Togepi.
 
I dunno, call me childish, but i'm thinking: "Ha! In your face Misty" =\
 
MISTY FANS UNITE, KILL THE EVIL WITCH WHO SLAYED OUR PRECIOUS READHEAD BY SACRAFICING HER TO THE GODS. QUICK FETCH ME THE MATCHES AND A GIANT CROSS TO BURN HER ON!
 
I think this thread can be closed now. I can't believe we're already at Dawn bashing and Misty worship before the first page even got to its halfway point. =/
 
People here need to fix there sarcasm detectors it seems. And its not halfway done, I've got the 40 post setting so its really 35 to go!
 
Scott, you could simply PM Weedle... the only reason you made this thread is to see Weedle's reaction
We already have a thread for the OP and already discussed the Togekiss thing there, there's no need to make such a thread
Togepi is a Pokémon like any other and Dawn can get it, it doesn't matter
Wallace Cup wasn't a normal battles tournament but a CONTEST which Misty isn't interested in at all... not to mention Wallace Cup simply ahd a water field but allowed Pokémon of every type so it wasn't even a water Contest
And Manaphy doesn't really have anything to do with Misty... not everything related to a water Pokémon HAS to do something with Misty
It's like saying Ash shouldn't have any water type and all his water Poké should have been Misty's -_-
