On a Mac, I realize the screenshot function is activated by [SHIFT + Apple + 3], but I have seen pictures of screenshots taken by people with PC's, apparently.

Can someone tell how to do this on a PC, perhaps?

There's a button on the keyboard which says "Prnt Scrn". Press that and then paste into whatever image program you use.

On my Laptop it's a button thats next to the Start and CTRL button, it has a square and fn inside it. I press that and Print Screen Button. I forgot how you do it on a desktop but I think it's either CTRL OR ALT and Print Screen button.

Print screen.
Though, some laptops need you to press FN (mine requires FN + INSERT for it)

Go into paint and hit edit, paste.

There is a button on my board called "PRTSC", and I prssed that, went to Paint, and CTRL +V'd, and a sceenshot of the forum appeared! (If admins are wondering, I deleted the picture, if that means anything to them.)

So, thanks for the tip!

F.Y.I., people, I have a Toshiba Satellite.

If you want to get fancier with the screentaking, you can get programs like Screenhunter where you just press a hotkey, draw a box and it's saved. It's more practical and convient than Print Screen and I recommend it.

I always found those screen-shooting programs to be useless. It's something that's practically included on every computer. I can only think of a few instances in which I'd need a program rather than my print screen key.
