How do you think 3D graphics will effect shiny sprites

So, after catching my first shiny Pokemon today, I was wondering. How will the 3D effect shiny status? Will it stay shiny if I transfer it over, or will it become a regular poke? What do you all think will happen?

Shiny Pokemon work fine in Colosseum, XD, and Battle Revolution. It should pass over no problem.

Shiny pokemon always stay shiny (except for rare instances on Colosseum) and that's with Pokemon caught in the game itself, not ones transferred over.

Maybe they could do something cool though, like be sort of sparkly throughout the whole battle. I just hope the shiny effect is better than in previous 3D games.

I don't see why having newer graphics would change Shiny Pokemon to ordinary Pokemon after transferring them. I don't imagine GameFreak ever allowing that to happen.

My only concern is that they would figure "The 3D models took so much time to do, we don't really have the time to retexture them".

It'd probably take less time to recolor the 3D models then sprites actually. Iirc, palette swaps are easy to do with textures for 3D models. Probably why were getting trainer customization now.

Your probably right.

Shiny Pokemon are so incredibly rare to catch yourself, I doubt GameFreak would allow POkemon to change back to normal once they were transferred, no matter how difficult it was to ensure it never happened. GameFreak would not want to displease their fans like that.

No kidding about the rare part. I've had emerald since the day it came out, and I've only gotten ONE. And that was today.

I have plenty of Shiny Pokemon, but I have only ever caught one myself. I caught a Nidoran on Soul Silver. The first and currently only Shiny Pokemon I've ever caught.

Guys this thread is about what shiny graphics might look like in Gen 6, not a general shiny thread, some of these posts are getting a bit off topic. Discussion about shinies you have caught currently belong in this thread:http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/f323/shiny-encounters-thread-112949/ This forum is meant to be Gen VI focused.

Completely sorry about that. Well, back on point, I just don't want to see the new graphics cause the shiny features to go away,

I really don't see why they would remove the shiny feature. If they palette swapped 649 Pokemon in BW then I'm sure they're willing to retexture 649+ Pokemon in XY.

I agree with this. I hope they'll stay sparkly all the time instead of showing of an effect in the beginning of a battle that ruins the flow of everything anyway.

I hope they redo some of the shiny colourings for some Pokemon. For some, they look to similar to the original... and others look.... just bad.....

I hope so too. I'd really like to see them fix the colors in lines where it doesn't make sense for them to change color (making Azumarill green, Nidoqueen pink, etc)

They've done it before, although it was only in the jump from GSC to RSE I think.

You're right about the colour thing. And in that case, they should also fix the shinies for Mew and Mewtwo, though they aren't part of the same line, they are related. Mew is light blue while Mewtwo is a weird green (while his body looks the same colour, his tail is what is actually green.)

Also, assuming the reason they did it at RSE was because it was a pretty big graphical jump, and seeing as this is an even bigger graphical jump, I expect them to fix at least some of the shinies.
(But if they fixed it during RSE because they were not connectable with GSC...... Well, shit....)

That would be awesome. I'd love to see a constant glitter type of effect on the field while a shiny Pokemon is in battle. I think it would look amazing. Oh man, do I ever hope GF will make that happen!
