How do you view Jessie as a female veteran of the show?

Jessie has gotten a lot of screentime and recognition this saga.

She, as well as Team Rocket as a whole, have been on the show for over 10 years, and over 600 episodes.

With the way Jessie's been improving in contests, and her life story as a whole, how do you view her as a female compared to Misty, May, and Dawn.

I'm well aware, she is not in the same category as them, and isn't as exposed.

However, IMO Jessie is a great character.

If you remember, her mother disappeared, she grew up in an orphanage, her loved one left her, and she was seen as inferior to some.

It seems like when she's Jessalina, she achieves true happiness, and she will get her day.

Yeah, Jessie can be mean, but overall, she's a good person, she just doesn't let her emotions show.

I ask this because I'm curious to know what others see Jessie as.

Honestly, Jessie has always been a favorite of mine, Princess vs Princess really solidified Jessie and Misty as two of my favorites of all time, and May and Dawn as well once they did their contests, and formed their friendshipes and storylines.

Jessie deserves true happiness and success, and I believe, she will achieve.

I know she will.
 
I don't think so.

Jessie is one of the show's "antagonists." If she should become a veteran, then James and Meowth should, too.
 
I'd like for new antagonists myself, or at least for TR to change their act. And really, why is Jessie worrying so much about her hair and nails? I mean, the group was silly enough, but every time Jessie makes a comment on her appearance I want to go, "Wha-wha-wha-whaaaaaa."
 
Team Rocket in general have been in the most episodes after Ash/Pikachu. They only missed the first episode, while Brock was gone for Orange Islands, the first few eps of Hoenn, as well as some other eps here and there.

Uh, go Jessie, woo?

I'm more of an "all or nothing" guy when it comes to TR. I need Jessie, James, and Meowth. They really jive better altogether than separately.

But she does do the contests, so more power to her.
 
I adore Jessie, out of all the females she's my favorite.
She's gotten so much better this series, she plays contests fair and has improved on her appeals. I want them to focouse on Jessie in contests, not the other generation girls that come and go and don't develope as one. They could still have Jessie and Team Rocket still follow Ash and co, just enter contests around the Heroes like there doing now. I mean, its boring watching a new cordinator come and go in Ash group. Just develope Jessie into a better one.

Such lines are dub added, my friend. Thank PCI for that. Musashi has never been this concerned about her looks.
 
Well, I agree with everything what the OP said. In my view, Musashi > any other girl in the anime (they're so boring). But I'm strongly biased, as she has been my fave all the time.

And yeah, all that hair and nails crap is added by our dear mr Zoppi. Jessie sucks because of him.

And it's not funny at all. Team Rocket actually makes me laugh in the older seasons.
 
The thing is, Jessie is awesome. She's more than comic relief, and she has a brain.

She deserves happiness! <3
 
She got quite a lot development in D/P saga, I hope this continues. Why I still don't want Rocket-dan to be the in every episode and give some time for COTD villains to do newer plots, Rocket-dan has always been my fave trio in this animé and Musashi is one of my most favourite female characters in this animé.

Well, I think the OP was saying that she is a female veteran because out of all the females, she's stuck around the longest. And it doesn't matter if she's the antagonist or not, I believe she still counts as a veteran.

I agree! She is definitely the best female on the show (in my opinion obviously) and by far the most interesting. She adds so much to the show and it wouldn't be the same without her.
 
Jessie Is one of my favorite characters too. She does do bad things, but she has shown that she really cares for James and Meowth and her Pokemon to a huge extent. I'd like to see her and TR as whole come out on top for once, but they're the bad guys so they never will, however considering Team Galactic and Hunter J and all the other newly introduce baddies. It just goes to show that they are popular and much loved to still be the main bad guys to this day (even though they are the worst at it) XD

Jessie Is a very valued character.
