Spin-Off How does Super Mystery dungeon save?

Super Mystery Dungeon comes out in 2 days here in Australia. Only problem is my SD card is getting rather full. So my question is this: "Does Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon save to its own cartridge or to the 3DS's SD card?"

On it's own cartage. The 3DS use the SD card to help save the games with. Since the SD card on your 3DS is getting full, trying clearing it out by deleting what you don't want anymore or try moving your pictures and videos on the SD card into your computer since they can take up space in your SD card.

Ok thanks, good to know I don't need to worry about space for the moment. I'll try shifting around the images I have and see what that does too.

Generally speaking, every game you play via cartridge stores its primary save file(s) on the cart.
