I've seen Ash and friend eat and I wonder were they get it. I know they can probaly grow most of thier produce, but where do they get their meat? In our world, we get hamburgers from cows. Do the people in the pokemon world acually kill Miltanks and Magikarp for beef and fish?

Of course they don't kill Miltanks, they're too fatty and they can probably milk (hehe) more profit out of them by keeping them as dairy Pokemon.

They kill Tauros once the Tauros have outlived their usefulness as breeding stock to the Miltank.

Hahaha, I love this answer the most of all.

Bouffalant=a nice fat Buffalo Burger.
Magikarp/Feebas/Octillery/etc etc all those fishies: Who wants to eat Seafood by the Sea Shore? Meeeee!
Buneary=Rabbit meat--yes, rabbits are edible and people do eat them a lot.
Mareep=Lamb Chops
Torchic=It tastes like chicken!
Cobra/Ekans=Snake. People also do eat snake.

Look at all the delicious meat there is!!

But that doesn't make sense... How else would the whole world feed on a small population of "real animals". So, it's definitely not that.

Well maybe the population is larger but they are almost all in captivity. Besides no one they eat meat as much as earthlings.

@Hallowheart, you forgot:

-Doduo/Dodrio (Ostrich meat is very lean)
-Stantler. DELICIOUS REINDEER.
-Bidoof and Bibarel-yep, beavers are edible
-Swinub, Piloswine and Mamoswine

That explains everything about seafood

I wouldn't be surprised if Magikarp is one of the primary source of seafood. You can find them everywhere in the waters (except Unova) and they are also very fast to hatch, making them ideal for being a constant supply of seafood. The fact that they are weak means that you can easily get them too. It is little wonder there are so many Magikarp: they are very easy prey, even for other Pokemon!

I also found it strange that some Pokemon dine on minerals. For example, Sableye eats rocks, and Cofagrigus dine on gold. Minerals are very much limited resources, because there isn't any way to renew them. Of course, because this is the Pokemon world, there are Pokemon made of rocks and gold. I imagine the Rock-types make a good source of nutrition for the predators. Naturally, this only applies for Pokemon and not humans, since they can't digest rocks. However though, the concept of rocky meat is rather strange.

Thanks for reading.

Since breeding is fast as hell, I guess Pokemon eggs are high on a typical Pokemon World inhabitant's consumption list.

from the canavale libary in platinum. "Pick clean the bones of Pokémon caught in the sea or stream. Thank them for the meals they provide, and pick their bones clean. When the bones are as clean as can be, set them free in the water from which they came. The Pokémon will return, fully fleshed, and it begins anew. " also another tale from velistone. "A young man, callow and foolish in innocence, came to own a sword. With it, he smote Pokémon, which gave sustenance, with carefree abandon. Those not taken as food, he discarded, with no afterthought." more can be found here Sinnoh myths - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia . it proves that pokemon were at least in one time eaten by humans just in case anyone doesn't know. but I think they eat both pokemon and animals.

They probably eat Bouffalants and Tauros.

There are greenhouses in BW, so they definitely grow quite a bit of food. I wonder how they keep the Pokémon out of the crops.

Real fish appeared. I think real animals exist but only a few in VERY small quantities.

then how come in the anime shows they don't give us the impression there is real animals in the pokemon world?

And I don't get it. I thought humans and pokemon were supposed to be in harmony. But no, they have to kill their fellow pokemon for a source of meat. And they couldn't possibly wait till them to die in order to eat them. There wouldn't be enough meat to go around.
