How healthy would you say your daily eating habits are?

My daily eating habits are quite unhealthy. I drink a lot of soft drinks and eat lots of sugary snacks. I feel like I always choose the unhealthy option even when a healthier one is available. My teeth are quite awful because of my sugar intake. I do a lot of swimming (as well as skateboarding and riding my bike), but a lot of my friends tell me that the actual competitive swimmers eat a lot healthier than I do. I remember when I was a kid, it was always a pain to get me to eat vegetables. (I'm probably the only one in my family like this. My older brother is a stickler for healthy food and rarely eats sugary foods, while my older sister and my parents also prefer healthy food.)

I have tried eating a little healthier in the past year or so, but I still think I need to cut down on the sweets - and go to the candy store less often.

How about you guys?

Oh my habits are terrible. I drink large amounts of soda and eat tons of fast food. The fast food is manly because that's all that's around my workplace to eat and I'm to lazy to make my own food. I love healthy stuff like veggies, tofu, rice, and fruit stuff I just never want to buy and or make it.

My OCD is currently manifesting as compulsive eating, so I tend to just stuff my face even if I'm not hungry. I also loooooooove chocolate. Like srsly. But I also cook and since I don't have a lot of time because of my busy uni schedule I tend to cook healthy stuff because I don't have time for anything else ^^;; so it's kinda a weird mix between healthy proteins and veggies that I'm cooking and whatever crap like chips and chocolate that I pick up at the supermarket when I'm being a terrible person.

@CakeFairyForever: Braised tofu is really easy to make and super-quick. Just make the sauce (toss a bunch of stuff into a bowl, stir), pan-fry the tofu for like 3min each side, then toss in the sauce and leave it there for a couple of minutes and done! (this is the recipe I use, just fyi)

My habits have really improved, I'd say, though I'm starting to slack. I used to drink one soda a day but have now cut it out of my system for half a year. I do eat sweets every now and then but try not to overdo it. Meals are usually well-balanced though and I try not to eat anything too fatty, but if I'm in the mood (which is maybe like a once a month type thing?) I'll pig out.

I can tend to over-snack, too, but if I catch myself doing that I try and eat more manageable things like vegetables or nuts.

Pretty healthy, I would say. On a daily basis, I eat rice, yogurt, vegetables, daal (lentils), fruit, whatever dish or curry is available, and some other stuff. The only exceptions would be those days when I really just need something sweet, salty, restaurant food, or fast food. Though it doesn't really matter on those days because I need to gain some weight. xD

My eating habits are pretty bad. As far as drinks go I basically live of Coke/Pepsi, and the odd bit of orange Juice or milk. I hate water so I never drink it, and most other juices make me gag.
As for eating, it's not necessarily what I eat that is bad (although my diet is not the healthiest), the problem is the amount that I eat. I eat all day everyday. When I'm bored, when I'm depressed or anxious, when I'm watching something, etc. Eat, eat, eat. I'll admit though, I do eat quite a lot of chocolate and other sweets, and microwave food.
Another unhealthy aspect of my diet is the amount of takeaway I consume. I've been having takeaway very often for the last year or so, averaging around 3-5 times a week. This is because my mum has been so busy with work and stuff, and well, I couldn't cook to save my life.

So yeah, my diet is pretty unhealthy.

Am I the only one here who doesn't like soda much? xD

I eat weird. Sometimes I eat super healthy but sometimes I eat terrible. I have a tendency to bake a lot, and I order from restaurants too much. I like to order Chinese from the lunch menu since it's so cheap. I order greasy foods that keep me full throughout the entire day. I also eat fruits and veggies though, so I guess my diet is sorta balanced. =P

My diet is kind of both bad and good. On the plus side, I have fresh (real) Chinese food almost everyday, which is very low in fat and has lots of green vegetables and poultry. On the down side, I have an addiction to diet mountain dew (and cigarettes) which aren't great, and when I don't have time to prepare good food, Taco Bell becomes a default....

What is eating? That pretty much sums up how healthy I've been. I usually end up eating like, once or twice a day, if at all. Besides that, I eat average foods that are neither healthy nor unhealthy.

It depends on my mood actually. There are days when I feel incredibly health conscious and eat veggies, salads, fruits etc. And then there are days when I just randomly order a pizza or stuff a lot of junk food even when I know that I am supposed to be on a diet.
So really, I am a very moody eater.

^^^ I'm pretty much the same. I doubt I'll ever go full-on vegetarian, but I'm actually trying to limit my meat intake and there'll be days where I eat nothing but veggies, bread, fruit and a little bit of dairy. On occassion, I'll slip some junk food in between but even that I'm trying to weed out. Like hell I'd ever get rid of barbecue wings and pizza. :ROFLMAO:

So look at my recent diet in the past weeks, my diet has mainly consisted of burritos.

Not sure if that's exactly healthy.

I eat a lot of junk food but it's not like it takes it's toll on my body or anything xD

My metabolism is crazy high, and there's a Mcdonalds literally two steps from where I work haha, so it's tough on a day-to-day. I'm also one who changes it up though too, like sometimes I could just eat Lettuce on it's own with some spring onions and ranch dressing :ROFLMAO:

Sometimes I crave healthy things which is so weird, but I find lettuce sooo good.

As a type 1 diabetic, not as good as it should be, but I do try. I make a lot of my own food and I limit carbs, calories, fat, and sodium to acceptable levels. I try to find variant ways to enjoy the things I love though, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices.

Yeah... my brother and I were like that until we hit our mid-late 20s. I'm 32 now and boy do I miss my metabolism. It doesn't even write or call anymore.

Yeah I hear it catches up eventually, but I can't even gain a pound! I've been the same weight for 6 years (I weigh the same I did when I was 16 and I'm 22 in two months), I guess I shouldn't complain though cause then it does catch up, me and the gym will be getting into some sort of a relationship.

Thankfully, my eating habits are tame compared to year's past where I ate so much chocolate, soft drinks and fatty food that not only I went up to 200 pounds, even had to go to my doctor's because I got diabetes and nearly died due to that. Jesus this got dark, luckily I managed to stop during grade 7 and am now more self-aware of my body(y)

A while ago it was very unhealthy as I would eat lots of junk food and wouldn't exercise enough. I'm now keeping a strict (but not making me too hungry) schedule that still has a few foods I like so I'm doing much better and losing weight.
