seriously i feel like we haven't seen a gym in like 6 months when do you guys think ash will finally hit sunny shore

My guess is before april...

Well you know, what with all the hiking down from Snowpoint, Twinleaf Festivals, Galactic plot-foiling, Johto Festas, Pokethlons, and Contests they need to do, I'd say they weren't letting Sunnyshore occupy their thoughts 24/7.

Crazy, I know!

I sorta agree with V faction, I mean sure it takes a long time for Ash to earn its eighth badge but it's not like the writers are just doing useless fillers, they've actually had to finish up a few storylines like the Galactic arc and the contests arc...

Plus the Twinleaf festival... Introduces Palmer (if the filler saga after the league is the Battle Frontier...), reintroduces Dawn's mom and reestablishes her as a coordinator (setting her up for a possible appearance in the GF ??)

It's a long time in terms of weeks, but in the terms of storytelling, the writers actually kept pretty busy...

Yeah, it's going to be awhile, but I'm in no hurry to see it, they have a lot of good storylines...

I guess it takes forever.:-D No, just joking. Ash will get there, but it feels like forever doesn't it? But I agree with all of you, it's fillers, and the writers were trying to make some exciting stories with the Team Galactic plot.

I've been thinking the same thing for ages. What's taking them so long to get to Sunny Shore?

From a story standpoint, it's far away and they get side-tracked a lot.

From a writing standpoint, they need to stretch out the last badge and the last ribbon as far as they can because God only knows how long it will be until we see a new series. Granted they could always make an epic Sinnoh League arc, but that's wishful thinking, not something that would actually happen.

So in other words. They are stretching out the series to give themselves more time to work on the new series so that they can have all the scripts and stuff ready by the end of the current series? That's understandable.

No, most of the episodes between this gap have actually been important. There were what, 10 fillers and the other 20 were important?
