I doubt it really has a true purpose other than to be humourous.

...

Unless the bikes have properties that are the reason why Pikachu downgrades every region...

Am I the only one who's terribly annoyed at the spelling in the thread title? It's atrocious.

You're not alone. This guy's grammar makes kittens cry. Anyway, it's obvious that the whole frying future main girl character's bike is "tradictional" as you spell it. The question is just as stupid as asking "omg why ash always bring pikachu wit him to evry region?" or "omg why team rocket always want 2 steal pikachu?"

I've been watching Pokemon since it was released. I guess the reason I like it so much is that it's funny and it gives you that warm feeling when you see the friendship between Ash and his friends, including Pikachu.

I watched it when it first premired but lost intrest, until I found out my favorite singer Sarah Brightman was performing the ending theme for the 10th movie. this renewed my interest in the show particulary when Sarah Brightman said her niece loves the show. (that is also why I was blissfully unaware of the voice situation) I now watch it because it's pacing is better and it is a fun show!

Since it came out....But I stopped for a few years,around 2003 I stopped...I came back in the middle of May's part,then I went away...

I like it because of...Pikachu.

I started watching around September of 98, when it primered here in the US. I still remember getting my dad to record episodes from UPN and I'd watch them after finishing my homework.

I believe I lost little interest in the series when I became a big fan of Dragonball Z. I did watch afew episodes now and then, but I didn't come back to the series until the end of Hoenn. I think I came back to the series because I was interested in May and her Contest plot.

Now I'm back full into the series Diamond & Pearl has been great so far. Hopefully it keeps being good.

It appears that the thread about Misty/May's bike has been spliced into this thread. To answer the question, I started watching the anime in 1999 and have pretty much continued to this day, although I'm not entirely impressed with the DP season.

i loved pokemon ever since i got my first pokemon movie i got it when i was five years old
loved it ever since and that means i have been watching pokemon for 7 years now

I started watching the show in 1999 and lost interest in 2000 or 2001, but then got interested in it again a few months ago. I like a lot of stuff about it: the humor, the characters, the cute pokemon, Meowth's Giovanni fantasies, and probably more :D

I've watched it since its US release. Forgot when that was, too lazy to look it up, but I know I kept watching because of Meowth. Always liked kitties and Meowth was a smartass cute kitty. Then he got better and as I grew older I recognized he was a hell of a good character, particularly when his 'origin' episode popped up. So yeah, I watched the show for Meowth and in turn Team Rocket, then Team Twerp, then just the overall thing. Yep.

I started watching when it first aired on KidsWB and I sorta lost interest when May arrived, but I still watched it despite the fact that I hated May. I mostly watch it just for Pikachu and Ash. :D Though watching movie 8 RAW/SUBBED made me fullly go back to Pokemon. :3

I saw pokemon first at the movies for the 1st movie. I never lost intrest, except for when May came.
