How many badges/ribbons do you think the main characters will get in 2008?

We're 1+ year and 65 episodes into D/P so far, and in all that time Ash still only has 2 badges and Dawn only has 1 ribbon. The writers are taking their sweet time with this region and progress toward Ash and Dawn's goals are going at a snails pace.

Well with 2008 on the horizon we expect to see them winning their tokens, but how many? Keep in mind we already know of all of January's titles so the earliest the Veilstone or next Contest could be is in February.

How many total badges and ribbons do you think they'll win by the end of 2008?

I'm pretty much expecting about three badge wins for Ash if we're lucky and two ribbon wins for Dawn in 2008. That way we'll make some progress but it'll still give them all of 2009 to finish up Sinnoh.
 
I expect 2 or 3 badges for Ash and one or two ribbons for Dawn. My answer isn't definite because the writers can just as easily drag the saga as they did in the previous year (AKA the current year).
 
May if were lucky they hav ash to snowpoint nd dawn need 1 more ribbon 2 enter GF
 
3 badges for Ash next year, and we'll prolly end up being very close to the sixth badge by the end of next year also.

And 2 ribbons for Dawn, even though she'll probably end up participating in 3 contests.
 
I'd say we are going to have 4-5 contests and Dawn will win at most 2 ribbons.

Ash will get 3-4 badges.
 
I'm also kinda hoping Sinnoh speeds up after the third badge so we can get through it a bit faster.
 
Probably 3 or 4 so that we can still have some gyms AND the league for the third season. I will agree with possibly 2 ribbons for Dawn.
 
3 badges - Veilstone, Pastoria, Hearthome
2 ribbons - Hearthome, Jubilife
