How many languages do you know/can speak?

French as language of birth, English, quite rusty on Danish and currently learning German. I did briefly checked Polish and Indonesian, but the latter is much easier to learn, though I have no need to learn it currently. As for Polish, I've kept notes on how to pronounce certain words, though I only wrote them phonetically as it's far easier for me to remember.

English is my native language and it’s the only one I can speak fluently.

-Spanish: My native language
-English: Around the age of 10 I started becoming very good at it due to good synergy between the classes, the Pokemon games and the mid 2000s Disney Channel songs. I still can improve on my speaking though.
-Portuguese: I had to learn it due to my job in 2022 and it was much easier than expected. I can keep polishing it but it's recommended if you think Spanish is too hard, it can give you some bases, and if you already know Spanish it will be a walk in the park.
-Japanese: Started in 2017, and while I have become very good at grammar I can still improve a lot on kanji and conversation.

My language journey is quite complicated, but TLDR I am currently mostly fluent in English and Polish, and used to know fairly well: German, Russian, Spanish, but forgot a lot since I am not using those anymore. And I am learning Japanese at a glacial pace. I tried learning some French, Danish and Swedish but that did not really stick.
In all of those I understand much more than I can actually say or write.

I'm fluent in both Spanish (my native language) and English (which I learned on my own), though the latter's pronunciation could definitely use some work Dx. Most people where I live only speak Spanish, so I really appreciate being able to hang out in English-speaking online spaces and communicate with everyone in a different language ^^'

Despite not being able to speak it technically, I can also understand written Portuguese fairly well since it looks very similar to Spanish.
