So Misty just recently left the anime, but she's waaaay too important a character to stay gone for too long. After all she was in 275 episodes which is like 90% of the show!

I think she'll stay gone for 1 season at the most, like Brock in Orange Islands. I think she'll come back in the middle of Hoenn...just so it feels like she's gone for a while. I mean I put a lot of options on the poll.

The last option on the poll is kind of like a "joke" option. I mean it says Misty will stay gone for the next 10 years. That's laughable, right? The Pokemon anime probably won't even still be going for 10 years from now, so how can Misty be gone for a decade? Hahhaha, by then we'll all be adults and we won't care about some stupid cartoon character anyway. Hahahahaha.
 
Well contests are obviously a short term gimmick like sketching was for Tracey. A year sounds about right.

Agreed, Hoenn also has so much water in it, I can't see her missing out on this. I think she'll return to the cast in the year 2004.

Anyone who votes the "she'll stay gone for 10 years" option is crazy. HAHAHA, only an idiot would think that!
 
I predict May will be like Tracey and go stay with Prof. Birch at the end of the season.
 
I think she'll be back in a year. May don't seem so appealing to me. I miss Misty so much.
 
The only reason why Misty is gone is to balance out Brock's absence why else would they get rid of misty
 
Perhaps when Ash returns to Pallet Town, Misty will make a surprise comeback and join Ash again, like Brock did. At least, I hope so...
 
I think that with Contest being popular and May's boobs, the writers have no reason to drop May for Misty again. May was a good character and a character with a lot of roles unlike Misty.
 
She'll be back after the Hoenn series is over. It's clear that they don't want her outshining the new gym leader, Wallace. He might be the eighth gym leader, but she's Misty, an unmatched talent.
 
Please, Misty's just very elaborate at disguising herself as May. Any time now, her cover will be blown.

Misty staying gone for 10 years? That's crazy talk. The anime will probably be canceled by then. No way could such an important character like Misty remain off the show for an entire decade! Why by then most people won't even remember her and little kids will grow up watching the anime without her!
