Title says it all.

You cooked something for yourself, or your family, or friends, or etc. You're about to eat it, but then the moment the food is in your mouth you immediately realize this is a bad dish.

How do you deal with it? Just throw the whole thing away? Or try adding other spices to change the flavors?

For me, I try using A1 BBQ sauce, which almost always works on all bad dishes.

Salt and or Vinegar. If that fails, a good dose of wine in the mouth and down it goes. XD

Add lots of hot sauce. If all else fails, into the compost bin it goes.

Ketchup... No seriously, I'll usually add salt and hope that fixes it a bit. If not, figure out what I screwed up for the next time I try it and order a pizza >_>;

Depends on how and how bad it's been screwed.

If it's salvageable, I'll try to fix it up, even if presentation suffers, it can still be eaten. Fortunately, I haven't had a total loss with a group yet (knock on wood), but when I screw it up too bad on my own, I'll just throw it away and be too angry to eat anything so I just skip the meal and fume.

I know. I'm not a good role model.

Food colouring! It might not make it tastier, but at least it'll be blue.
Plus if you dye it a strange colour, there's less of a chance someone might eat it by accident.

I get really testy and angry, so when I screw something up I just tend to throw it all away and weep like a little girl. Oops.

I usually just add lots of salt and cover the whole thing in vinegar (gross kinda, but I love vinegar) Then, if it still tastes bad, I'll throw it away or offer it to my dog who then wont eat it because it's covered in vinegar.

Depends on how bad it is and how hungry I am, I'll probably finish it if it's not so bad. If someone made me it and it was vile I'd eat it all and not say a thing.

I will try to make the taste better by adding spices. If it does not work, I will make some side dishes like salads, soups and sauces so that the family may not feel a big taste difference.
