How to post an image

This will sound like a noobish question, but how do I post an image?

The image will appear. To just do the link just post the link.

How do I get it from the harddrive to another place? I can't post from my harddrive, so how do I put it somewhere else?

You can post it as an attachment. Or if you do want to upload, try www.photobucket.com

See, this is exactly the kind of topic for which a "How To" forum or subforum should be created. In a month or two, nobody will remember this post in the Garden Grotto or know how to find it. At least in a specialized forum dedicated to these kind of questions, you would at least have a chance of digging it out.
