We all know Pokemon do die at somepoint, just take a look at places like Mount Pyre and the Pokemon Tower for that.
But how and why? You'd expect a grass pokemon to be burnt to cinders, but they just faint(Because it's a kiddie game a blah blah blah)
Do they die from old age? If so, does that apply to legendaries like Arceus who have been around since nineteen-o-dot?
Do they die from serious bodily injuries? Like a broken neck or something? What about pokemon like Porygon and Magnemite?
Take for example Charmander. Numerous pokedex entries say if it's flame were to ever go out, it would die.
Enter, say, Empoleon.
One hydro-pump and its bye bye Charmander, if this was the case.
And WHEN they die, do they become gastly/gengar/misdreavus/insertghostpokemonhere?
I personally believe that Ghost pokemon are "True Ghosts", and that dead pokemon are Spirits, like the Marowak, and they gravitate toward their regions graveyard, Pkmn Tower, Mount Pyre, House of Rest ect ect.
What do you think?
