How will the second season be structured?

With confirmed appearances of Shirona, Hikari, TR going after Meloetta, the Kami Trio reappearing, etc when do you think all of these things will occur? Will they occur early on in the season? Be spread out?
 
As I already said countless times, I'm sure all of these things advertised on that scan are going to happen in the very near future... they're probably the first batch of eps in this season (with possible few more eps in between the big events) which is why they're showing us these specific events
All these things shouldn't take any more than maximum of about 14 eps in the good case, and probably even less than that... I'm sure by early-mid October we'd already see most if not all of these events
 
And what will the whole next year worth of eps be about?

I can see several champion league tournaments stretched out through BW.

A BF-style saga based on something from the BW2 games
And no, we don't know EVERYTHING about these games yet, and won't know it till they're released
And no, even after their release, we won't know for sure what exactly Ash will do after the Unova League until it actually happens

There's no reason to believe such a thing is going to happen
Also, from the little known to us about the Champion League, it seems like one single tournament where the winner of a certain League battle against that League's region's Elite Four and Champion
Also, from what was shown to us in DP (when most of us view as Ash being at his best, unlike the current Ash) Ash has absolutely no chance at all to beat an Elite Four member, not to mention a Champion or a tournament full of these guys
Think about it... think about Ash's battles against E4s in DP... do you honestly believes he's ready for a tournament full with these people and actually have any chance to win there except for MAYBE one battle?
 
He could, in Sinnoh, he was defeated by a Cheater in final.

I was talking about how Ash's battles against E4 members were - it was pretty obvious he has a loooong way to go till he'll be able to truly challenge them
 
The CoroCoro page shows what is very clearly an island, but the only islands in the vicinity of Homika's port city don't have any stadium as per Unova's updated map. In fact, there is no island in Unova with a stadium, leading me to strongly suspect that the World Tournament in the games will be set on an island (or a sub-region) far from Unova, which will go along perfectly with the reference to N traveling to a faraway region.

I know what some people are going say: The anime could have changed the tournament's location and added a random island to Unova. But why would they do that, especially if the the tournament arc followed the release of the games so soon?
 
I'm a little confused now...first we have the poster with clouds the same crappy style of BW and the Lucario scene with the sky looks the same as in the movies, and the robo-tyranitar scene with the clouds the same as they use to be in the series before !! Are they gonna change the style again or what ??? also the TP scene looks better than the usual BW quality.
 
The scenes you're talking about are more than likely just a game trailer in anime style or maybe a short "episode" like Ranger 3 got... it's obviously not part of Best Wishes
 
I think it will be another one year stretch. Ash's Team hasn't been developed enough, Ash and Trip's rivaliry hasn't been explored enough, Iris' "Dragon Master" skills need to develop more etc.
 
I might be in the minority, but between all the big events I hope we get some DP-quality training episodes. Best Wishes has really lacked that, and it'd be a nice way to prepare Ash for the Tournament.

Especially needed for the Unova reserves, who I imagine should be getting more spot-light now.
 
It still seems incredibly strange we are getting a "Season 2" when Ash will already have 7/8 badges by the time it starts. I hope we're not swamped with filler, and this next potentially large gap has some meaningful events.

It seems that a lot of people are assuming that "Season 2" is synonymous with an Eastern Unova arc. Surely they won't drop the '2' tagline come the eighth gym and Unova League, will they? When the arc is over, they may update the website again with a different poster.

While we've seen that the writers are capable of dragging out a gym gap for quite some time, it's too early to say that the gap will necessarily be over 20 episodes (counting the five episodes before eastern Unova, as well). I think that the Eastern Unova may turn out to be comparable to the Whirl Islands. Let's look at a few similarities:

1. An arc between two gyms takes place in a special part of a region (Whirl Islands/Eastern Unova).
2. A main character (Misty/Ash) participates in a special tournament (Whirl Cup/Junior Cup) related to their goal.
3. A character from a previous region joins the group (Ritchie/Dawn).
4. The group befriend a legendary Pokémon (baby Lugia/Meloetta).
5. Team Rocket go after a legendary Pokémon (baby Lugia and its mother/Meloetta and possibly the Kami trio).

For the record, the Whirl Islands saga only lasted 13 episodes, despite the Johto series having much longer gaps between gyms. As for the World Tournament, the Junior Cup may be a precursor to another saga that will take place after the league. I would think that if Ash were to participate in more than one tournament in Eastern Unova, they wouldn't mention the Junior Cup in particular.

Yeah, "Season 2" =/= East Unova
They'll obviously keep calling it "Season 2" until the very end of BW and beginning of gen 6
The ONLY reason they did this "Season 2" thing is to play off the "2" in the new games titles, nothing more than that
So "Season 2" will cover the East Unova arc (which really might be similar to the Whirl Islands arc), Gym 8, the Unova League, and then whatever next saga is

No, it's impossible, because then what would happen after East Unova and when we get to Gym 8, the League and whatever Ash will do after the League?
They wouldn't call it "Season 3" because the one and only reason they called this "Season 2" is obviously to play off the "2" in the games titles...

They can go to other parts of Isshu, you know.

It could be if this was what Ash will do for a whole saga as a new journey after the League, but it seems to just be some kind of arc that will take place before Gym 8
So they can't stay on East Unova till the end of BW (and therefore the end of "Season 2" because it's clear there won't be any "Season 3") because there's still the last Gym and the League to do
 
So I say from the start we go all WTJuniorC with 7-10 episode arc!
Than we have some Dawn-Meloetta episode arc till BW2-020
3-4 filler episodes
10-12 episodes feat Drayden (including DragonSpiral tower, Iris vs D, Ash's gym battle training and rematch!)
3-5 filler- evolution eps
10 eps Unova League
3 filler eps!
WTSeniorC 10 eps maybe even more!
1.5 Kanto ep! GenVI(hopefully without Ash!)

I thought we were talking about "east unova arc", not the east unova. "Easy Unova arc" (Meloetta, Hikari, Shirona, etc.) could spread into other parts of Isshu.
