So yeah, with a new section comes new threads, mostly asking the basics for now. We know Unova's got some new areas, and it seems that a specific area is only available for now, or at least that is what they want us to believe. If they do go with the covered parts for a much later post-game part of it, how do you think we'll progress through it? For me personally lets say, if its really got lots of ice now covering it, and the shown areas are first, I think we would start from Hiougi City, progress to the other new cities, and then do Castelia-Mistralton all over again. However, from Mistralton if that really is a landing strip in the new mountain cave east of the Entralink, I can see us flying there with a cargo plane, and entering that cave to progress the story.

1.So we start from Hiugh city so I guess we have 1 or eventually 2 gyms! till we get to the bay! The water gym at the bay, and maybe one in the forest or the water gym is at the lake hinted on the scan!

2. Than we probably get surf and a fishing road to capture a Water Poke! so we can reach Hiun or we go through the underwater tunnel! Meanwhile we will probably face some memebers of team Rocket or Plasma!

3.Hiun city gym and after that cause for now the Skyarrow bridge is frozen by her end we will get back on track to nimbasa, Driftveil i saw even Mistralton not frozen!

4. But Ironical Iccirus seems frozen but Opelucid isn't! So the Dragon gym is there for sure! Probably Before that we go to Eastern Unova and win some badge 2 or 3! Than goes the league!

At first I think it'll be the same as BW just the opposite side of the map.

So, we'll have the starting city (Hiougi or whatever) -> another city -> another city (this will be the pacifilog-looking place in the screenshot, and I think it will be the place below Driftveil imo) -> Castelia via the water tunnel.

After that I'm not sure. Since we could continue on the routes of BW, like you suggest, but we could also go backwards across the bridge to Pinwheel and Nacrene. But I doubt the latter option due to the ice covering it up.

Taking the aeroplane from Mistralton over to the East actually seems interesting because the ice covers Icirrus too, so obviously we won't be visiting that just yet. That idea hadn't even occured to me.

I don't know. It'll be interesting to see how things play out.

No problemo, actually surprised that we made region specific threads in the same time period. XD

I'm not sure, but I'd really like for the region to not feel quite so linear as it did in BW. Maybe there will be a point where you have a choice of which way to go and which gym to challenge first, like in Gen I and II. I just don't want to be forced to fight the gym before being allowed to move on. Literally every city had some sort of blockade that would only go away after beating the gym. Having a few blocks is fine, but it started to feel like they were really reaching for reasons to keep us from advancing.

Anyway, a less-linear path through Unova, please!

Hey guys, quick thing. I put this on serebii and I just wanted to get some other opinions. Just speculating about the 'hidden' East Unova part in the Corocoro scans here. I am fairly sure that the sign in Accumula Town reads, "The Fast-Growing Town". Could this be a little clue by Game Freak that two years down the line in BW2, Accumula Town could be a lot bigger and a lot more important and that's one of the things they are hiding with the so-called 'ice'?

OK, so I'm pretty much sold on this plane idea now. Because look at the old map:

Unova_alt.png

Then at the new map:

Firstly, there's a plane on both Mistralton's strip (which isn't there on BW's map) and the place in the East. Secondly, the Village Bridge isn't frozen and there's the cave from the city which will probably lead out to it.

So I guess it goes like this:

Hiogi City -> 2nd new town -> 3rd new town (where I believe the water gym will be) -> over to Castelia via the Water tunnel -> Nimbasa -> Driftveil -> Mistralton -> take the plane over to the east mountain city -> upto, and over, Village Bridge -> Opelucid.

Though I can only count a possible seven gyms (3rd new town, Castelia, Nimbasa, Driftveil, Mistralton, new city on east mountain, Opelucid) if this is the case.

Edit: Although, Anville isn't covered by the ice, so maybe we go there at some point. That could make it 8, I guess.

I like the idea of Anville Town having a new Gym, but the new city on the east mountain is also a possibility. For all we know the Gym may be inside the cave.

It doesn't seem possible to get to Opelucid City without traversing one of the hidden areas first, though. Perhaps Iciruss City, which is separate from eastern Unova, will be accessed during the badge quest.

Can someone help me?

first. Are the starter pokemon the same?
second. How many gyms are there now?
third. how many characters do we get to choose from?

I say we go through the three south western towns then from the third go through either the water tunnel or ride a boat to Castelia and follow the normal BW route from there.

1. As far as we know, we choose from the same three starters as BW1.
2. So far two new gyms have been shown. The number that will be in the game is still unknown.
3. As always, there will be two playable characters: a male and a female.

That's basically how we're gonna go through gyms imo opinion, with whatever story events taking place breaking things up a bit. The mountain building is more then likely a new gym as well, to replace Iccirus Cities gym.

That seems like the most plausible to me. It keeps the other half hidden away for a while due to the story most likely, and it lets us see the first few changes that likely won't have to do with the story like the new Route 4 settlement.

It also leaves Opelucid City last as the Gym which very likely won't change in these versions.

So the possibility of having 2 gyms on the south west coast is interesting! but it depends how long the coast is!????

But Anville city is a solid option or a small town around Anville! But the main linear order stays with Castelia, Nimbasa, Driftveil and Mistralton their! And Opelucid for the end!

Exactly. Opelucid is more then likely set in stone as the last gym. Add the fact that the water gym is more then likely to be introduced in East Unova, unless you can give me the gym building in the new areas, and it seems like they have the most balanced path. Southern half of west Unova+Northern half of East Unova, Lacunosa after the 7th gym, and what not.

Now watching the map again and talking about the location of Shizui's gym I got to the conclusion that we maybe can enter the Ice covered Unova part by the new mountain place on the East Unova ! there is an entrance and he can take us to UNDELLA ! ? and maybe we can go from there to route 12 over the village bridge to Opelucid city!???

I would think that because Lacunosa Town and the Giant Chasm are located inbetween Undella Town and Opelucid City, they mirror the west side of Unova, where Dragonspiral Tower was located inbetween Icurris City and Opelucid City. Which could make sense because that was about the place where the plot began to significantly pick up. That would also indicate that Shizui has a high chance of being the seventh Gym Leader (to replace Brycen, as he could now be more involved with acting) due to the fact that he shows up often and helps the protagonist. A possibility, no?

Starting in Hiougi City, then moving up through SW Unova up to the harbor area town. Then to Castelia City I'm thinking. After that, depending on whether or not the ice on the map is really legit, we'll go east towards Nacrene or North to Nimbasa City. Then to Driftveil and Mistralton area. Then I think we may go to the area on the east side of the map with a plane and that cave area on the edge of the ice. Then up to Opelucid City.

Gym order:
1. Homika or other/unannounced leader
2. same as 1
3. Burgh
4. Elesa
5. Clay
6. Skyla
7. Shizui (Water guy)
8. Iris

That's my rough guess.

so by these new spoilers we have
3 new leaders : Cheren(Starter city), Homika(Port city) and Shizui(Undella city) !

and there should be 5 old ones: Burgh, Elesa, Clay, Skayla and Drayden-Iris.

But I'm still hoping we will get Anville city gym( steel) but now I doubt it!
