How would you feel for an Earthbound remake?

YES, I know Itoi really doesn't want to make any more Mother games....But if a Earthbound Remake on 3DS or Wii U would be great. (Or maybe, a English Mother 1+2 for the 10 free GBA games for ambassadors) Maybe in Earthbound's 20th Anniversary. (2014/2015) What do you think. If not, I'm completely fine. :banana:

Yes. Earthbound was one of the best games on the N64, and with Luigi's Mansion and Star Fox 64 getting remakes, it's definitely possible.
 
Don't you mean SNES? Earthbound 64 was canceled back in 1999, and we only have Earthbound (Mother 2). Japan has all 3 Mother games, and everywhere else, there is no Earthbound games. So there should be one, so Europeans and more Americans know who Ness is. And Jeff, Paula, and Poo. (Not Lucas.) I find myself really enjoying Earth Bound 0. I am at Magicant at the moment.(Sorry for extending.)

Translate all three, and stick them on one 3DS cartridge. Call it "Earthbound Anthology"
(of course, Mother 3 would keep its Japanese name because it's far more known as that)

Even if they didn't alter the graphics, it'd still be the top-selling RPG on the system until the next Pokémon pair get released.

But Mother 3 would be majorly edited. Maybe 2 versions, one regular, another without death references so it wouldn't be so sad. Mother 1 would be called Earthbound 0 or Earth Bound or maybe Earthbound 2 (as a prequel)

And yes, it would be the best-selling RPG on the system. It would help boost 3DS and Wii U sales. Though I don't know if the next Pokemon Pair would outsell the Earthbound remake. Earthbound would might sell more.
 
The problem is that JRPGs sell less in the U.S., and NoA takes sales seriously (just like Capcom), which makes me believe that's what makes a game a success: sales. Besides, even if Nintendo grants their wish, they end up not buying it just like what happened to Punch Out!! and the Conduit. Also, Mother 1+2 for the GBA is a port, not a remake.

To think of it......if it was released, here are some names I thought up of:

Earthbound 3D

Mother 3D (Haha, supoosed to be Mother 3)

Earthbound Trio (Not in Japan)

Oh yeah, got it mixed up, sry. But still. The only thing is Earthbound is the only game of it's series to be released stateside. :/

It would sell really well, though, with Earthbound being one of the best games on the SNES.

Yes, it would. Maybe even better than Pokemon games! Many people who played Earthbound before would certainly buy this. Even so, I prefer Earthbound 0. And maybe a European release.

Earthbound sold poorly, it hasn't been rereleased on VC due to licenses, NoA is a sales centric company, not a gamer centric company (Project Rainfall, anyone?), and JRPGs don't sell well in the west anymore if they aren't either FF or KH.

I AM NOT HATING. But still. HOW SAD. I mean REMAKE, not Virtual Console. Well, 3DS. Just remake. Even if it will never hit VC or another remake, Nintendo Of America won't care. And I'm not hating. I'd be happy if that happened, but if it didn't happen, well, that's too bad. So I'm not hating.
 
A graphically enhanced port of the Mothers (Earthbound 0+1+2, Mother 1+2+3)? Sign me up!
I just care about 1+2, not 0. I played it, and it was sh*t.

Earthbound was good, and Mother 3 was OK. As for Earthbound Zero, maybe. I'm only at Duncan's Factory, and I literraly HATE that place. Reminds me of Wayward Cave. At the end, Loid was unconscious, so I couldn't get the bottle rockets fired. Still, it's fine.
 
I was stating my opinion. Maybe it was because I was playing on NESCafé? Oy...
Also, Mother 1+2 was a remake for Mother, as it added a bunch of stuff (dashing, for one) that Japanese didn't have. We would've if Nintendo wasn't so slow on translating Mother 1.

No...Dashing was in Mother 1. Only it made the over world go faster in the game. I knew you were stating your opinion.
