How would you feel if we had another 1 year gym drought, between Brycen and Drayden? Personally, I would like it, as the series has been going really fast so far, so it'd be a break if the series slowed down a bit to allow Ash to battle the new BW2, for the purpose of getting stronger so that he can satisfyingly defeat Drayden.

Unless most of those episode is about Training , Battling & Development rather then some stupid filler like that ''Afro'' or ''Sawsbuck'' episode !
Like , Ash training in a special place
Or, Ash enter & win some tournament
Or, Continuous Battle Club episode where Ash battle various trainer , Make new friend & make a name for himself in Battle Club
Man , They could have make Battle Club a lot more cooler if they Add ''Ranking'' & ''Special Treatment'' to Top rank trainer !
Like Special Battle Cafe where only a High rank Trainer can sit & eat !
 
I think I'd be cool with it as long as some good stuff happened.

After all, there is a LOT more to life in Pokeworld besides collecting badges and entering Leagues.
 
I wouldn't mind it as long as a lot happens in between, like in DP. But I wouldn't be too bothered if got a fair amount of filler as long as they don't appear too frequently and are entertainng either.

Though I doubt it will happen since we've probably been cruising toward the Unova League challenge to start some new quest that relates to B2 & W2.

I wouldn't mind a year long gap till Drayden if Ash battles the new Gym Leaders in B2W2 in it.
 
if there is a purpose it's oK! But without that just annoying and dragging the shit out!
If they are pacing fast! Pace fast till the end I expect the real BW journey to have around 120 episodes! And than a possible 50 episode side quest and finish with Iris and Cilan AND ASH! And give us something new! :D in Gen VI i mean!

I could except Ash going and challenging the other 'New BW2 gyms" but nothing except that could justify a big gap between the 7th and 8th gym(league)
 
I think they could pull that out in a much more enjoyable way this time so as long as it doesn't mean an absolute filler-rampage, I'd say go for it. Especially since if BW wasn't good enough already, they are making even better episodes in this mid(-late?) part of the series, feels like they kinda got the hang of it. As for one, I happen to like pace-shifting shenanigans and let's not forget the range of possibilities is rather wide. There's a lot of unresolved stuff going on with almost every one of Ash's current team members both in characteristics and power, also BW2 is coming up and the time to bring back Gible would be perfect for the time being stalled. It is the first time I feel like filler eps can be wrought in a way that they can actually add something to the storyline quite a lot, so this shouldn't be a problem either.
To cut this short, it wouldn't bother me at all. Development is what matters to me, gyms are just milestones for that.

I wouldn't mind IF that 1-year gap were filled with actual content. But I don't trust the writers to do that, so I'm just going to say "hell no" to that one.
Let's just get the league over with first. THEN things can slow down.
 
If the break was due to some significant plot development, I would be all for it, as long as it was done well and a decent substitute for Satoshi's regular goals. If it was just a one year break between gym leaders with no plot reason to dictate it, it would not work at all. It wasn't that noticeable in DP due to the way the gyms were spaced out there, but in BW it would be horrendously obvious.
 
If there will be a Team Plasma plot (N league plot) before the league, I won't have any problems with it.
 
Ok, well since they'll be heading to Opelucid, I'm fine if they have a reasonable gap as long as Iris gets to do something significant before they reach her hometown.
 
I'd want to see a gap between the 8th gym and the league, Ash needs to do a whole lot of on screen training before the league for it to be vaguely believable that he could go near the heights of his previous attempts.
 
Eh, I wouldn't be too happy. The thing with DP was that it was generally a more fleshed-out pace, 20-30 episode gaps between gyms was the norm, small gaps were the exception - and even though there was a lot of padding in that last gap before it was determined what would be happening after the Sinnoh League, there was plenty of plot in there too.

But that's not the case with Best Wishes, though. The decision to keep it to about 10 episodes per Gym (except for between the 3rd and 4th gyms) was just as deliberate as Sinnoh's earlier pacing, so it wouldn't make sense to have a 50-episode gap between Brycen and Drayden. And considering how boring the last big gap was, I'm not too eager for another one unless there's a serious secondary plot going on (which would make more sense after the league).
 
How would I feel? Fat, I guess. Maybe some chest pains if I really let myself go...


I wouldn't mind it if the content we got in the mean time was entertaining, preferably with relevent goings-on to prevent a wave of complaints and such. I wouldn't have much confidence in them being able to keep that up however, so I'd rather they avoid something like this.
 
It depends what would happen in that year between gyms. I'm sick of Don Battles already and there's only been two of them. I'd rather there be a gap between the 8th gym and the league so we can see some quality training episodes so Satoshi can work out what team he wants to go with for the league. But overall, I think a year between gyms would be way too long, considering how fast the other gyms have come and went. And I don't see why Satoshi would need more time than the others to train for it, either.
 
HELL NO!!! best wishes is terrible enough as it is, another 50 something episodes will put me over the edge
 
I can see there being a gap between the 8th Gym and league. I highly suspect we'll get one last Don battle tournament at the time, most likely to beef up Ash's team and give us one last Trip appearance prior to the league if anyone still cares for him.

I don't think there will be a gap between the 7th and 8th badge, there's no reason for it to happen here.
