How would you like Wes to be in the anime? Use your imagination

As you know, Wes is the best player character ever. But he has never appeared in the anime. What would be a good way for him to be on the show?

It can be in either an episode or a movie, and can be in any saga that you want. Or maybe even something in Pokemon Chronicles.

You dont have to explain it this much but this is an example:
Sometime in the Sinnoh saga: Piplup lags behind the others while they're walking along and two mysterious men (team snagem grunts) sneak up and steal piplup. Then there's an epic scene where Wes appears with his umbreon and espeon and at the sight of him the grunts put piplup down and run away. Wes leaves without explaining to Ash & his friends who he is.

I don't know how many people nowadays care about Colosseum but I just had to make this topic.

I've always thought that it would make a good Anime plot - just as I like how different the game itself is, as it raises an interesting dilemma of the usual simple good/bad dynamic of the Anime. The various teams and Hunter J are all shown as completely evil organisations, capturing other people's Pokemon is universally seen as a bad thing - but having Ash or others (yeah, it'd probably make a better side series episode) have to respond differently to someone catching someone else's Pokemon and recognise it as an 'ends justifies the means' situation would be good for how they respond to Pokemon overall.

That said, the hard part is that in the games you keep all the Pokemon whose hearts you unlock, for it to be fully morally ok for the Anime's standards, he'd probably have to release them, and they'd have to establish all of the people owning the Pokemon as being villains.

If it did happen, no real reason not to use Wes.

Seeing as he's from Orre I would imagine Wes to be a hardened badass who's seen some of the worst in the world and is not afraid to put the villians in their place. Appearing in the show as a temporary party member at his most frequent or as a one scene wonder every couple of episodes. Personality wise I would imagine him like Dante from Devil May Cry since Wes sort of looks like him and you can see his Espeon and Umbreon as his ebony and ivory, all he needs is a third pokemon to act as rebellion.

I can definitely picture one of those situations where the main character (ash) hates someone because they don't understand them and then eventually realizes that he's still questionable but on the good side.

Oh and guys, feel free to mention Rui if you want.

Maybe the current Anime wouldn't be able to do him much justice but maybe a separate Anime series to advertise the games? Like a different studio adapts the Pokemon Colosseum games into their own Anime and really make it good.

I'd imagine that they'd expand on Wes's background, how he got on the bad side of the law and why he decided to go to the good side. They could really make him a deep character. Though they'd wouldn't make his character history (too) dark for the kids but still, he'd have a good amount of depth to him. At least I hope. This is all just me guessing. He might even have a romance with Rui since they travel a lot and they might have a good chemistry.

As for the rest of the Anime, they'd probably expand on plot points and even add filler stories to expand on certain things only touched on in the games.

Qft.

Me me me! That's my favorite side game the franchise has produced so far.

The movies always focus on Ash and his current traveling buddies, so I don't see it being a movie. A Chronicles episode or three, or hell, a mini/spin-off series would be nothing short of awesome.

Because of poking my head into the Rebirth fandom, I have adopted the theory of Wes and Rui being Misty's parents, so Colosseum and XD are set in the past and therefore Ash and co. wouldn't be present. Maybe some foreshadowing could take place that could link it to the main series. Like with Rui, I see her ability to see Shadow Pokémon as being linked to Aura in some fashion. It would be neat if one thing the spinoff series tackled would be her gaining more abilities pertaining to that. It'd give her more to do at any rate and not leave her relying on Wes for everything, though in my HC it contributes to her death in some way, to explain why Misty's parents aren't seen on the show.

Yeah this is pretty much how I'd want it to happen. Ash thinks Wes catches other trainers' Pokémon for his own benefit, but he realizes after a while he does it to set them free because their hearts are locked and I just know they'd be shipped together *cough* @ShinjIteru *cough*.

The writers could have done this in multiple ways:
1) In one or more movies.
2) As a subplot in a saga or mini-saga (probably the latter).
3) As an arc (three episodes maybe?).

I would have loved for 2 to happen, but that would be stretching it a bit. xD I could have seen 3 happening the most of the three options, and that would have suited me just fine.
