Hi, I'm asking for general opinions and constructive criticism concerning a four-member Doubles team I'm putting together.
The theme is the four Houses of Hogwarts, and this is what I've worked out so far:

Gryffindor
Arcanine, Jolly, Flash Fire. EVs: 252 ATK, 252 SPD, 8 HP. IVs: ATK & HP.
Wild Charge, Roar, Morning Sun, Flare Blitz Item: (undetermined at this point)

Hufflepuff
Linoone (shiny), Adamant, Gluttony. EVs: 252 HP, 126 DEF/SDEF, 8 SPD. IVs: SPD & HP.
Substitute, Dig, Retaliate, Super Fang Item: Leftovers

Slytherin
Serperior, Timid, Overgrow. EVs: 252 SATK, 252 SPD, 8 HP. IVs: DEF & SDEF
Glare, Wring Out, Leech Seed, Energy Ball Item: Brightpowder

Ravenclaw
Braviary (shiny), Jolly, Sheer Force. EVs: 252 ATK, 252 SPD, 8 HP. IVs: ATK & SPD.
Brave Bird, Rock Slide, Superpower, Hone Claws Item: Life Orb

I know there are gaping holes in the strategy; that's why I'm posting this to ask for opinions.
One thing I can't decide is if I should give Arcanine Sunny Day over Roar, so that I can give Serperior Solar Beam instead of Energy ball.

BTW, I actually don't have said shiny Braviary yet. I posted a request in Munchlax's Cravings, but got no responses. Here's the link:

This party isn't great, and there is not much to work with. right now the best strategy would be to get a party that works for you then make the members look like the houses of hogwarts.
 
also make sure all your pary members have some type of signifiance, for example a psychic type can cover a normal type's only weakness while a ghost type waits in your party to protect the psychic type.
 
Yeah... I wish there were more Pokemon which resembled a lion, snake, eagle and badger, but the ones I picked were the best matches. I mean, I suppose luxray is a lion, too, but arcanine seems to fit the mood better.
As far as type coverage goes, I'm not concerned as much as I normally would be; all of us have to make 4-member teams that reference a movie. The teams I'm going against are 'Avengers' and 'Ghostbusters'.
The only combos I could think of off the top of my head were the sunny day-powered solarbeam and morning sun.
Anybody else got any ideas?

I like your Idea for the team though that is for sure. And Yes you could use the sunny Day set up. If you do give it a heat rock so it last longer and Flareblitz kills in the sun so it will be cool. I will post to that link here but its a shiny Level one Rufflet if that is ok. I believe the Nature is correct to.
 
ninetails kindof resembles a lion. you can get nintails with drought through dream world (okay you get vulpix then evolve them) or you can look for one. if you do this a sunny day wont be needed and fire type attacks will be superpowered. serperior can learn solarbeam if you want to keep him. badger with morning sun... if you dont mind streching the badger bit tropius can have solar power as an ability along wth being able to get synthisis from breeding. if you don't mind strechin a lot you can use tropius as an eagle and use floatzel to cover your fire type weakness.
 
I got a female DW Ninetales in a Japanese trade, so I've already bred a fair share of Vulpixes with Drought, but I'm OCD about stuff like this so I couldn't use one in place of Arcanine. It would be nice, though.
Maybe I should reconsider the team and make it Naruto-themed; then I could use one...
POTENTIAL NARUTO TEAM MEMBERS
*I can't think of a tanuki other than Shukaku, and that just seems wrong.
*Matatabi could be an Espeon; they're both bakeneko.
*I could use carracosta for Isobu, I guess.
*Infernape for Son Goku is a no-brainer, since, ya know....
*I haven't got a clue what Kokuo is even supposed to be (though he does sort of resemble a Muskedeer, I suppose...), so he's out by default.
*Saiken's a big sea slug, so Gastrodon would work.
*Chomei is a stag beetle, so Heracross, of course.
*Gyuki could be either a Tauros or an Octillery, I suppose.
*(Kurama, of course would be Ninetales.)

I suppose I'd have more options this way. Maybe I'll make a Naruto team for the Triples or Rotation round.
Anyway, that's later. Right now I want to focus on this team.

On the contrary, I think that's BRILLIANT. You, sir, have just made my day.
I could make any team based on any set of pokemon from any of the movies. Hmm... I wonder if I could get away with saying the team is based on the first movie, and use Mew and Mewtwo...
 
If you start using combos from the first movie, forget mewtwo atnd take his army of 150 pokemon along with all of ash's pokemon and dominate!
After that of course you will turn everyone to stone and pikachu will cry.

Okay I took that one a little too far...
Zoroark, Celebi, and the legendary dogs? (zoroark mastr of illusions)
Lugia, Slowking, and the legendary birds? (pokemon 2000)

Hunger games based team:
gallade(Cato) conceldurr(Thresh) Gigalith(Peeta) ... is there an archer pokemon... [looks up highest Sp.attack on serebii] I don't see any archers... deoxys maybe...
 
How about M12? Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Heatran and Arceus, the only Pokemon who is so cool that even Dr. House speaks its name with reverence.

Deoxys does kinda look like a bow, doesn't it...?
